A cascade of golden laburnum 🌿💛

Beautifully hand-painted against our classic black background, these cheerful yellow blooms make such a striking centrepiece for Arthur’s Coach House. Finished with warm gold lettering for a wonderfully traditional look.

From template to finished sign 🎨✨

We thought we’d share the process behind Joanne’s beautiful, bespoke Coot Cottage sign…

1️⃣ First, we carefully template the raised lettering to establish the layout and leave the right amount of space for the artwork.

2️⃣ We then transfer the design onto a black plaque, helping both us and our customer visualise how the layout will look once the sign has been cast.

3️⃣ Our customer provided a photograph of a coot for inspiration. We created a digital overlay using this reference to demonstrate the proposed scale, placement and overall proportions for our artist. This is simply a visual guide rather than a preview of the finished painting.

4️⃣ & 5️⃣ The finished result—individually hand-painted by our talented artist, Joanne, with beautiful detailing and rippling water that brings the coot to life against the black plaque.

Every bespoke sign is carefully planned and painted by hand, making each one completely unique 🖤
