Today we've delivered some of my new leaflets to businesses around South Molton.

Over the past few weeks, I've been refining the design, making adjustments and fine-tuning every detail to get it just right. I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. Graphic design is something I genuinely enjoy, so it was a project I loved working on from start to finish.

Thank you to Paul at for his advice, expertise, and excellent print quality. It's always great to work with local businesses that take such pride in their craft.

Website Update!

Today I worked on an update for Henry Elston Woodwork, adding some new projects to the furniture page and making some design changes.

Henry's website is one of my favourites that I have worked on, and I really like the style. The site showcases the woodwork as the works of art they are. The design mimics an art gallery, with simplicity contrasting the complexity and skill of the woodwork.

Torquay Harbour today. I focused on silhouettes tonight, capturing the golden sun and dramatic clouds. This has become one of my new favourite styles, and I love the way the light creates such beautiful contrast and depth. We've been getting out in the evenings to avoid the mid-day sun, but as a bonus it also places us right in the middle of golden hour. With the weather transitioning from the heatwave back to normal over the next few days, it might be possible to go outside before 7 again 😂.

Here are the finally edited pictures of the Valley of the Rocks yesterday. We visited at sunset to capture the beautiful light and colour across the ocean, and it definitely paid off. However, in a lot of ways, the goats were the stars of the show (especially the kid). It was unbelievably hot - even late into the evening - but the sun is a welcome site and I'm not going to complain.

A quick visit to the canal today to test out my new camera. The main improvement is just how fast and intelligent the autofocus is. Within seconds, the camera automatically locks on to my chosen subject and makes sure the focus is perfect.
Because of this, I can capture tiny insects like these (except the duck) from a distance with my zoom lens.

Better equipment doesn't always mean better photos but in this case, this camera already feels like a major upgrade. I'm excited to get out and about and see what I can capture!

My new camera has arrived!

With more video work ahead, I decided to make the switch from my Blackmagic cinema camera to the Sony A7 III.

It shoots in 4K, has excellent battery life, and features reliable autofocus - making it perfect for everything from static tripod shots to handheld vlog-style content.

It also delivers stronger low-light performance, improved colour science, and more natural skin tones for both photo and video work.

I can’t wait to put this camera through its paces, so expect some exciting photo and video content coming soon!

Grand Western Canal today. From the swing bridge to Manley bridge. I like to focus on one type of photography at a time, aiming to perfect my technique. Today, I took my zoom lens out and focused on birds and details along the canal. It's often tempting to pack all my equipment "just in case", but going out with intention often creates better results. The rain and grey skies often turn the surface of the canal into a mirror, reflecting the vibrant spring colours across the canal.
