Some projects just feel special from the very start ✨

When Ian and Tara from came to me earlier this year, they had a big vision.

To bring together their family businesses and a new addition — a well-loved campsite near Lundin Links…
and turn it into one strong, clear family farm brand.

I was hooked. A family farm sitting at the foot of Largo Law. A proper local landmark (and yes… an ancient volcano, which my daughter is still very impressed by 🌋😉).

So here’s what we created together:
✨ A modern brand that feels timeless
✨ Based on a beautiful sketch by
✨ An earthy colour palette inspired by the land & farming roots

We also made sure the brand could grow with them:
✨ Sub logos for each part of the business
✨ A flexible design system they can keep building on

Then came the website…
✨ Bringing all parts of the business together
✨ A clear, simple navigation
✨ Mobile-friendly and search engine optimised
✨ Booking system built in
✨ Easy to expand over time

This project was such a joy to work on.

✨ Shall I create a linktree on Instagram, clients often ask me when we talk about their website and SEO …

If you’re linking out to Linktree (or any other external platform/provider) you’re sending traffic AWAY from your website. That’s a missed opportunity.

Here’s what I would do instead 👇

Create a mobile-friendly “link in bio” page on your OWN website.

Why?

✅ More traffic to your site (better SEO ☺️)
✅ More control over what people see
✅ Better brand consistency
✅ Fewer clicks to get people where you want them to be (on your website, right!)

- DMs sit unopened
- Nobody feels responsible for replying

Here’s the truth: I don’t think anyone can fully predict where social media is heading. The world is changing fast, and that’s going to impact everything: trends, platforms, and how people behave online.

What we can already see? A kind of social media fatigue creeping in across Instagram, TikTok and beyond. And usually… that means change is just around the corner. 😉

Yes, platforms will keep adding new features to stay relevant.

Yes, they’ll become even more addictive as they try to collect more data and sell more ads.

But for us as business owners? It doesn’t mean we need to fall for every trend, trick or growth hack.
