We are SUPER excited for phase 1 of our upgrades - we will be closed next week for 3 days to fit the role play village:

Monday 18th May-Wednesday 20th May

Sorry for any inconvenience caused - we are accepting bookings for next Thursday onwards so book your slot to be the first to see the new role play village! ā˜ŗļø

Also, we have just changed our booking and payment system so please have patience as we learn the new system in store šŸ«¶šŸ» the changes will enhance customers experience for a smoother online booking process, checking in with a scanning system, speedy card terminals and even easier online accounts to manage bookings and birthday parties! 🄳

We just want to say a huge thank you for everyone’s continued support, if it wasn’t for you guys visiting us, bookings events and interacting with us on socials we wouldn’t be able to bring all of these amazing updates. Adam Mosseri recently shared more insight into how content is being measured. The algorithm is paying more attention to watch time, engagement and shares. Meaning pretty posts and everything aesthetically pleasing won’t carry your strategy.

It’s important to me that not only my clients, but anyone who supports my business (even if you’re just flicking through my content) feels confident and comfortable here.

I want you to see me as trustworthy, transparent, and someone who genuinely wants the best for your business, not just someone saying the right things to make a sale.

I’m not interested in the performance, or the big song and dance of social media. The followers aren’t collectibles to me.
Most of us aren’t using it like that, even on our personal accounts, which is why I understand how alien it suddenly feels to have that social media presence pressure. We’re using it because we have to. It’s how we promote our businesses, grow, and support our families.

And you deserve to understand what you’re doing too… not just feel like you’re guessing, or relying on somebody else forever. This is a partnershipšŸ¤

Posting isn’t ā€˜strategic’ on its own, the things you do after posting is what helps your content reach more people.

If you’re posting and disappearing, you’re missing a huge part of how social media really works.

These are the simple things I recommend doing straight after you post to help performance, reach and engagementā˜ŗļø

I had a tattoo appointment yesterday, and honestly me and Beth can chat and chat about anything and everything. Somehow we ended up talking about marketing.… what works, what doesn’t, what platforms, what content.

And it got me thinking about all the unwritten do’s and don’ts when it comes to promoting your business.

Of course, it varies depending on your niche and your target audience, but overall, these are the biggest mistakes I see time and time again

A plea from EVERYBODY in any creative profession, whether artist, graphic designer, marketer, etc etc etc…

All these posters look SAME, yet they are from different areas across the UK… so much so, I was concerned that I had repeated the same poster when compiling this, and had to triple check!

I realise that many group committees are volunteers and people don’t have the time or funding to consult or even ask someone arty to make a poster for you.

I KNOW when you are trying to run your business, plan events, and schedule your actual life, you don’t have time to mess about in Canva or be taking endless pictures.

But please let’s ditch the urge to ā€˜save time’ and money by using ChatGPT or other AI services for your event graphics. You are killing YOUR brand.

At this point your poster would be better seen using Comic Sans and Word Art, or even a sharpie and a Helix letter stencil.

The excessive and sudden burst of AI to help ā€˜promote’ events has actually lead to nobody looking at the posters because when they appear on social media we think we’ve already seen it.

It no longer works for marketing or promotional posters, as in its very brief appearance, AI has already entirely saturated the market.

Please just get a marker pen out instead and take a selfie. We’re begging you.

Homemade and human made is the way forward now if you want your event to be seen and remembered.
