Working with a company from the start always makes the relationship feel a little more special 🥰

We’ve been working with AWE since they set up in 2021. From game branding and UI design to editing trailers that have racked up over a million views on YouTube for their debut game BPM: Bullets Per Minute. Every project with the AWE guys gives us a chance to flex our creative muscles.

And their last project was no different.

The brief? To create a kicking, eyeball-grabbing video to launch BPM on Nintendo Switch, incorporating gameplay, live-action and motion graphics to make the video unforgettable and sell the game to a brand new audience.

The result? A fast-paced trailer, littered with VFX that’s helped successfully launch the game on Nintendo 🎮

Take two steps forward 👣

You’ve just made your video content look instantly better 🖼️

Creating space between the subject and background creates depth, making the overall image look less flat, draws attention to the subject, and transforms the look of your video.

Look at Rob in this video, for example. Being flat to the background makes the production value feel low quality. It feels visually uninteresting and just boring. But once we pull him away from the background, adding depth and texture to the scene, we create a much richer composition and give Rob the wonderful framing and separation he deserves.

If you ever wondered what our “classic” camera build is for our internal videos, this is it. Of course, it can change depending on what we’re filming, but this is often the set-up we grab for our “run-and-gun” type videos.

And hopefully, we can continue to use it after it’s exploded 😨

Tape. The single most important tool in our kit bags*.

It’s a simple tool that’s often overlooked and forgotten but is essential when filming multiple people on a client shoot. It lets us ensure that the subject is exactly where we want them to hit the best light and framing of the shot that we’ve agonised over, which are those fine details we pay attention to in order to make our talent pop 🤩

It also has many other uses, but this one is by far the most used by us.

After a lengthy conversation and strategy session around their goals and customer journey, we decided that sending 1000's of potential new customers to a brand new website was better to maximise the returns on their campaigns.

Working through a new visual identity, we would build instant trust from their audience and turn those all important clicks into conversations.

The lesson: question your customer journey and spot opportunities to aid your efforts and generate even more value and ROI.

No other marketing agency shares our passion for video, dance and... sausage 🌭!? That's why our partnership with Heck! was a match made in heaven.

This project, to create a choreographed promo video in a sausage factory, to accompany an omni-channel campaign that spans social, Spotify and YouTube - and included dogs as actors! 🐶 - had a few hurdles to overcome during production (and post-production 🫣) - but that just makes for a fun daily...

How the HECK do you film a music video in a sausage factory?! 🌭 Like this...

We teamed up with Heck! Food to cook up an unforgettable promo video for their sizzling new single, 'One HECK of a Flavour', and it was a fun one.

Fuelled with sausages, the team filmed a choreographed dance sequence over 10 locations in 3 days to create 30 pieces of cross-platform content for their new marketing campaign 💃🕺.

If that doesn't sound difficult enough, how about we throw in dogs riding in the sidecar of a motorcycle? That's more like it.

We're back filming with BULKHEAD today 🎮. Seven years after Briight's founders, Drew and Rob, piled an old Golf with film equipment and drove 12 hours to Normandy to shoot a Kickstarter video for a campaign that became the catalyst in launching them to where they are today.

From a small team of 6, they're now serious players in the games industry with over 100 talented team members spread across multiple teams and projects.
