I wrote an article about shorts, and it got me thinking…. 🤔

Shorts are one of the most avoided items in our wardrobes

Not because they are ‘wrong’ but because no one shows you how to wear them….

Shorts aren’t about age. They are about cut, length, fabric and styling….

Get these right and shorts feel relaxed, modern and wearable. Think proportion… hello rule of thirds 👋🏻

Rise
Leg shape
Where they sit and where they finish
What’s happening on the top
Shoes to finish the look 👀

Remember you don’t need new legs, you just need better styling

If your shorts are sitting untouched in your wardrobe, this is your sign ✨there are no rules, have a play, style them up and make them work for you

Omg I have created some kind of reel… not very polished, just me trying to talk to you about great basics!!

My style is urban and creative you know how much I love denim, a printed tee, a trainer, a print, a colour and some texture. This is why I invest in my basics. A good white tee and great denim when I don’t know what to wear can easily be elevated with other items from my wardrobe without reaching for the ‘buy now’ button.

One jacket, four ways. Proof that a denim top works harder than you think.💭🤔

1. Casual Everyday: Red jogger, trainer and a white tee
WIW (why it works): Relaxed, modern, effortless. Easy simplicity for the school run or a coffee date

2. Layered and Textured: Soft striped shirt, barrel leg trousers or wide leg joggers, leopard print flats.
WIW: Adds depth and interest whilst keeping it practical and stylish

3. Polished Casual: Long length dark denim jeans, red heel, structured red bag, funnel neck shirt
WIW: Denim is elevated with sharper shapes, colours and structures. Ideal for work or meetings

4. Evening/Dressed Up: Polka dot chiffon skirt, could also try a satin skirt or dress with a polka dot sock and loafer. Contrast and structure from the bag and print.
WIW: Mixing denim with more luxe fabrics elevates it for evening wear.

Three nights in Marrakesh, hand luggage only, no stress (and not in 20 degree heat!)… how I packed for a last minute break away…

This is not about owning less, it’s about packing smarter

As a personal stylist this is how I help clients travel with ease, options and confidence (and also to remind myself!!!)

1. Choose a colour palette. Mine is often red with my best neutrals.

2. Build outfits not items. Mix and match day to night.

3. Sounds obvious but wear your bulkiest items to travel in. Trainers, jackets, sweatshirt etc.

4. Pack one hero piece I.e a dress, blazer or a shoe can elevate your whole look (I took my leopard ballet flats and wore them on an evening).

5. Decant and edit your toiletries into travel size only (don’t pack the ‘just in case’ you won’t need it).

6. Let your accessories do the lifting. Belts, jewellery, scarves, sunnies create multiple looks without bulky packing.

The goal?
Less luggage
More outfits
Zero ‘I have nothing to wear’ moments

New year, same me, same outfits, couple of new additions. I have been living in layers, knitwear, joggers, gym kit and anything comfortable. I have been avoiding the sales (I don’t need anything!) and avoiding the swimwear and shorts co-ords that seem to be bombarding my feed at the mo… 🤔 anyone else???

I have however purchased a couple of bits from that I am waiting to be verified (so many fakes on there) and some new birthday trainers, absolutely loving the bronze/gold/black mix of these trainers perfect for this time of year…. Looking for some Salomons on Vinted - do I need to size up??

1-3: jumper via , adidas

7-8: jacket and jeans merino base layer jumper

I just wanted to say….

2025 has been a busy year for my little business.

And 2026 is shaping up to be a good one.

I am now officially on holiday until the 6th of Jan because….

Short legged girls - this one’s for you!!! Finally are doing THE firebird trackies in a short length!!!
