Early 20th Century English carved wooden rocking horse on iron bow rocker.

Retaining its original hand-painted finish, leather bridle, horsehair mane and red felt saddle. The horse is mounted on an elegant sprung wrought iron bow base with small spoked guide wheels. Beautifully modelled with a spirited stance, it displays the honest wear and patina expected of a well loved antique toy.

A delightful nursery or interior decorative piece, equally appealing to collectors of antique toys and country house furnishing.

Established in 1945, Norris Upholstery is now in its third generation of traditional upholsterers, continuing to combine time-honoured craftsmanship with a passion for beautifully restored furniture.

Based in Rye Harbour, near the stunning nature reserve, Norris Upholstery offers a wide selection of restored upholstered seating, ready to be finished in your choice of fabric. From classic deep-button Chesterfields to cushion inner replacements, all upholstery work is carried out in-house.

They cover East Sussex, Kent and South East London for upholstery work, with free local delivery available on all furniture sold.
