Our latest team-building activity involved turning the office into a real-life version of Taskmaster… and honestly, marketers should probably not be given this much creative freedom. 😂

What started as “a bit of fun” quickly became people defending their ideas like they were presenting a million-pound campaign strategy.

- There were costumes.

- There were props.

- There were suspiciously competitive levels of commitment.

A few things we learned:

Marketers will somehow turn every task into a strategy session, someone will always ask what the objective is before committing to the chaos. “Team building” apparently means full emotional investment and somebody will always try to optimise the rules for better performance.

- No leads were generated.

- No campaigns were launched.

- But team morale? Through the roof.
