The thing that finally made me consistent was not motivation.

It was a number I did not want to lose.

Honest reflection on this week's experiment.

We offered Resolved at £4.70 instead of £47. The predictable part: removing price friction changes behaviour. Lower the barrier and people act.

The question I cannot answer yet: does someone who pays £4.70 actually use the product? The streak mechanism only works if they log in on day one.

I will know more in two weeks. That is what running a small business actually looks like — experiment, measure, adjust.

Every complex marketing plan I've seen fail in a small business had one thing in common.

Too many moving parts.

Here's the one-page version. Four boxes:

1. WHO do I help? (one sentence)
2. WHERE do my ideal clients spend time? (one channel)
3. WHAT will I do there every day? (one action)
4. WHEN will I do it? (one time, before email)

Fill them in. Stick the page somewhere visible. Do the thing each morning.

Want to see the difference a small rewrite makes?

Before: "I wanted to reach out to introduce myself. I run a consultancy specialising in operational efficiency."

After: "Quick question — is [specific problem] still costing you Wednesday afternoons? A client in your industry fixed it in 3 weeks. 10 minutes Thursday if useful?"

Three fixes: name their problem (not your service), add industry proof, and make the ask specific and small (10 minutes, not 30).

Same word count. Different world.
