So what is the Irongate Group and where did we come from?
We were established in 1977 as a small retail shop selling photocopying services on Irongate in Derby (hence the name!). Adam Noble, now the managing director joined the sales team in 1989 when the turnover was just £250k.
We moved to a new 50,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse at Kingsway Industrial Park in Derby in 1995. It signalled the start of our journey from an office supplies provider to a business services provider offering fully-managed business solutions.
We made huge investments in digital print production equipment and web to print technology. Through our partnership with Xerox, we have become one of the most innovative print companies in the world.
Yes, the world.
We were one of the first companies in the UK to offer a single source for all of their office supplies and print, all ordered via the web.
Since then we have invested in more specialist services, to ensure we are constantly adding more value to our customers.
More than four decades later, our hardworking team has helped turn Irongate into one of the UK’s leading business service providers.
We are a specialist supplier of Office Supplies, Hygiene, Catering, Workwear and PPE, Office Interiors and Furniture, Promotional Merchandise and Print and Marketing Communication services.
We deal with some of the UK’s best known brands including Thorntons, Cadbury, Eon, Stratstone and Vision Express.
