A 2025 quick snapshot… it was a big year!

The year I took the plunge with Acorn Socials.

An jdea that I had been incubating for a *long* time.

2025 was a learning year, and I realise I still have so much more to learn, I am SO grateful for all the clients I have worked with so far, thank you for trusting me - I have really enjoyed creating and sharing your stories through the world of social media.

2026 I hope to upskill in more niche areas to enhance my services package.

And also try to weave a few months off with maternity leave as our little acorn is due in Spring 🤰 so navigating freelance life with maternity leave will be an interesting one! 🤭😅

Hope your 2026 is off to a great start, I look forward to hopefully sharing more here this year.

Posting and hoping?
That’s not strategy. And it’s not going to help you grow.

A lot of the businesses I work with present the same blank stare when I ask them a question about their insights.

The reality is most people just ‘post and hope’
Because they don’t often have the time to really delve into insights, or know how to analyse them properly.

They focus on colours, captions, what looks good and rely too heavily on Chat GPT and Canva… crossing their fingers that something works.

If you’re not checking your Insights, how do you know what’s actually working?
✅ What content drives clicks?
✅ What’s reaching new people?
✅ What’s converting followers into customers?

Insights aren’t just numbers — they’re direction.
And if you want real growth, not just good-looking posts, you need to use them.

WHO CARES??? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏿‍♂️

Don’t post just to ‘tick a box’. 🚩

Craft content with intention. 💭

Keep your ideal customer in mind. 👤

👉🏼What do they need?
👉🏼What questions do they need answered?
👉🏼What are they struggling with?
👉🏼How can you help them?
👉🏼What content would they save, or send to a friend, colleague etc?

Working through these questions will help you to create a content map which will seek to reach, interest and convert your ideal customer.

So, WHO CARES???

You should be asking yourself this exact question during content planning, and before posting any content on your grid. That way you will create content that is more meaningful, valuable and aligned to the needs of your customer or audience, driving those sales conversions. 💥
