Now that I have your attention, today we are talking about Marketing in its simplest form…

If marketing feels overwhelming, here’s the truth...

You only need three ways to market your business, and you’re probably already doing at least one of them.
1️⃣ Talk to people directly
Conversations. Messages. Emails. Not funnels. Not automation. Just… talking. If people don’t know you exist, tell them.

2️⃣ Show up where people already are
Social media. Local groups. Events. You don’t need to be everywhere, just somewhere consistently. Visibility beats perfection every time.

3️⃣ Prove you’re worth choosing
Share results. Stories. Before/afters. Testimonials. People trust what they can see. Make it easy for them.

That’s marketing.👍

Not complicated. Not mystical. Not “guru level strategy”. Just talk → show → prove.
If you can do those three things regularly, you’re already ahead of most businesses.

😱People love to overcomplicate marketing...

So, lets go back to basics...

🍎At its core, it’s just this: Let the right people know you exist, why you matter, and why they should choose you.👍
That’s it. Not a 40 page strategy deck. Not a “brand essence pyramid”. Not twelve rounds of sign off to say something vaguely interesting.

👉Marketing is attention + trust. Get noticed. Be believed. Stay remembered.

Everything else is just the method.

So, if your marketing feels overwhelming, start simple: Who needs to know you exist today?

Top ten tips on a hot and sticky Tuesday...
1. Stop posting like a corporation; people buy from people.
If your content sounds like it was written by a committee, it’s already dead.
2. Your brand colours aren’t sacred.
If the post needs a punch of neon pink to stop the scroll, use it. Consistency is good, invisibility isn’t.
3. You don’t need more content. You need clearer content.
Most businesses aren’t under posting. They’re under communicating.
4. If your post needs a paragraph of explanation, it’s not a post; it’s a hostage note.
Cut it. Then cut it again.
5. Your audience doesn’t care about your business.
They care about what your business does for them. Shift the lens and watch engagement jump.
6. Ugly posts that make a point beat beautiful posts that say nothing.
Design is a tool, not a trophy.
7. If you’re not repurposing your content, you’re working twice as hard for half the impact.
One idea = 10 assets. Minimum.
8. Stop chasing trends you don’t understand.
If you can’t explain the trend in one sentence, don’t use it. You’ll look like someone’s dad on TikTok.
9. Your brand voice should be a personality, not a PowerPoint slide.
If you wouldn’t say it out loud, don’t post it.
10. Consistency beats perfection every single time.
Show up. Even if the post isn’t “perfect”. (Perfect posts don’t exist anyway.)

A practical starting point is to set aside 10% of overall revenue as your marketing pot. Use it for a mix of paid ads, content creation, branding, and occasional freelancers. 📊
