In my teens when I moved to London from Nigeria, i sounded different, dressed differently and had different cultural values. Growing up I wanted to be in the creative industry, I got a lot of professional NOs along the way but this didn’t deter me. Social media came along and it allowed me to showcase my uniqueness, talented and very blessed hands. Now, I am a multi award winning UK lifestyle influencer and based in Scotland.
This is the inspiration behind my debut as a film director ( a new feather added to my already well decorated hat - in Gods name) ‘FASHION IN THE DIASPORA’. It celebrates the unique ethnic fashion identity mixed with Scottish fashion of a creative collective of millennials and GenZ from a diaspora background who are making a name/ career for themselves through hard work in the digital space . I’m so proud because this film will open new conversations and inspire anyone and young generations to come.
It airs today Friday online as part of festival concession tickets are £10. I am not just saying this, but it really is a must watch. Thank you for your support 🙏🏾
