Through Louisa at I-comment360 I got introduced to . They provided me with their brand elements and asked me to create professional looking A4 report and social media templates.

Looking forward to working with them on the next project, creating 18 bespoke icons for in one of their reports.

Took some time off this morning to enjoy a sauna and swim with Nicola (Yasashii Healing).

The water was bloody cold (3.9°c, didn’t stop us from going in 4 times), but the sauna more than made up for that.

Relax and unwind… ⚖️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First and easiest place to get to is the garden 🌷. Best thing ever is that first ☕️ al-fresco. Letting myself get distracted by weeds or in my mind rearranging plants (always design on my mind whatever it is I’m looking at 😄). The Scottish weather won’t stop me as I will just seek shelter in the gazebo. Which in the summer is a lovely sun trap in the mornings. ☀️

Then there is the beach 🏝️ , love to walk and listen to the waves 🌊 , feeling the (sun kissed) sand in between my toes 🦶. With the beach comes the sea, so 👟👟 and 🧦🧦 off it is and ‘pootjebaden maar’ as we say in The Netherlands. Also don’t mind a swim or just bopping around in the sea. 🏊‍♀️

One of the of my favourite beaches/dunes in The Netherlands are on the island Texel. Tentsmuir beach and its dunes in Scotland reminds me of Texel’s beach.

Going in the cold water really gives me a great buzz after the initial shock 🥶. So much so that I sometimes like to go swimming in the winter ❄️ . Unfortunately there’s not always time to go there, in that case I jump into my mini ‘pool’ (enjoyed the most in winter) in the garden. Usually after some exercise.

Another favourite is to go walking in woodland 🌳. Great for clearing the mind and also to find inspiration. I have a soft spot for trees preferably very old ones. They can be so majestic with branches making amazing shapes, can’t help but take photos (lots and lots). 🪾

So now you know some of my favourite spots and things to do to unwind. I’d be interested to hear what your favourite things to do or places to go are to help you unwind? Time to recharge is precious, especially during challenging or stressful situations.
