At the iconic Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., one of Abraham Lincoln’s historic speeches is carved in stone… along with a very human mistake.
When the memorial was first unveiled, the word “FUTURE” was accidentally engraved as “EUTURE.” Oops! 🪨
Workers later filled in the missing stroke to turn the “E” into an “F”, but if you look closely, the original typo is still hiding there — proof that even monuments could use a proofreader! 👀📖
