❤️⚽ LAURA TURNBULL CHARITY MATCH – SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER ⚽❤️

This day is really about giving something back to someone who has given so much to local grassroots sport.

Mark Turnbull supplies strips and kits to so many of our local football and sports teams, but it’s about much more than that. He’s always there with a smile, a bit of advice and, sometimes most importantly, a friendly ear when somebody needs one. He really is one of the good ones.

Mark has sadly lost his wife, Laura, and we can only imagine how devastating life is for him and his family right now. Being self-employed brings an added worry at a time when work should be the very last thing he has to think about.

That’s why Ryan Kelly came up with the idea of bringing the football community together to do something for Mark. Ryan has been brilliant sorting out the players and organising the footballing side, and Annfield Plain AFC are proud to host the day at Derwent Park.

We know we can’t take away what Mark and his family are going through, but hopefully we can ease the burden just a little, help towards funeral costs and show Mark that the community he has supported over the years is now standing right behind him.

⚽ Match kicks off at 2:30pm, but come along earlier and enjoy the day. We’ve got face painting, a bouncy castle, food, coffee, chocolate-covered strawberries and plenty more.

❤️ Every single penny raised will go to Mark Turnbull and his family.

Let’s get as many people as possible to Derwent Park, DH9 8TY and show what grassroots football and our local community are all about.

Thanks for peoples patience over this difficult time.
I am gradually back to work but think be a little while before full time again , some days will be tougher than others , everyone deals with grief in different ways .

Family have been helping with shop and keeping it open as much as can , and thanks for that .
I want to keep business going as much as possible and we will do orders ASAP.

However some things are bigger than football as we held a minutes silence to show our respect to our friend and sponsor Mark Turnbull and his family, on the passing of his lovely wife Laura. Turnbull’s FC Clothing

Just want to say thanks to people , sports clubs and businesses for the lovely messages and gestures through this difficult time over the passing of my wife.

I am gradually going back to work from Monday 7th September but won’t be full time yet , I am only taking each day as it comes .
Will be closed again when funeral is on .

I apologise for delays in people’s orders which are still outstanding and again apologise if caused issues , we are happy to take new orders but I will be fulfilling orders that we currently have first and try to do as quick as can but please bear with me while get back into swing of things .

I promised my wife I would keep this business going and want her to be proud, I will push myself even harder to make it a success .

Thank you for all the lovely messages and support I am getting through this tough period .

I was keep been undecided if wanted to set up my own business but my wonderful wife wanted me to do it and had supported me right from the start .
I sometimes worked late and on weekends but she never complained once just wanted me to do well .

She is an incredible person and so sad she has passed away .

Be taking some time off and will be going back in small stages but
I am going to continue to keep this business going and make her proud

Everyone at Annfield Plain AFC is absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Laura, beloved wife of our friend and kit supplier, Mark Turnbull.

Mark has become so much more to us than simply the person who supplies and embroiders our kit. He’s part of the Annfield Plain family, and our hearts are truly broken for him and his family at this incredibly difficult time.

There really are no words that can make a loss like this any easier. We just want Mark to know that every single one of us at the club is thinking of him, sending him all our love, and standing beside him.

Mark, you do so much for our little football club, and now we hope you know just how much you mean to all of us.

Our deepest condolences go to you and your family on the heartbreaking loss of Laura.
