Wow 🤩

March was a bit of a month! My eldest turned 10, my baby turned one! and took her first steps and as if that wasn’t enough I just delivered the largest project of my entire career Reframe Women In Tech Conference 2023 on 30th & 31st March

2 days | 750 delegates | 47 sponsors | 32 speakers

10 months in the planning, hundreds of calls and meetings, early starts, late nights and thousands of teams messages and WhatsApp’s

I am overwhelmed with the amount of positive messages I have received, thank you to everyone who has sent one 💜

I am immensely proud of Reframe WIT the journey so far and where we are headed next, of course none of it would be possible without the absolute trust Beckie Taylor has in me to deliver on the vision every year so a huge thank you to her.

Thank you also to my right hand man Joseph Charlton and the Tech Returners team for their support in particular Matt Jones Emily Baron Roxy Stafford Robin Nkomo Georgia Capper Mili Velikova Kerry Heath Thomas Rowlands and my little team it was so wonderful to have them there with me at the end - a really special moment 💜

I can’t wait for the next stage of the reframe journey LONDON we’re coming!

And we will be back next year!

I feel like I should have some stirring words for but here's the thing, I'm three weeks out from delivering the biggest project of my entire career and I'm a bit tired and lacking in creative genius.

So instead I give you this:

💜 A Thank you to all the women in my life, family, friends and those who put their trust in me to deliver opportunities for other women as part of my work.

✔ A reminder for anyone wondering how fits into who they are as a woman that you don't have to be making huge gestures to be making a difference - every time you support another woman you're doing your bit.

A double milestone day!

4 years of my little business and 11 months of the amazing Beatrice Rose ❤️

It seems apt that this week I have submitted my biggest proposal to date whilst Queen Bea is crawling and pulling up and trying to do EVERYTHING herself 🤣

Which reminds me of the biggest reasons for doing what I do - I get to be here for the two most important people in my life and I'm grateful for that opportunity every day ❤️

It’s the last day of the working year for me and it’s been a different one for sure! A year where work and personal collided in the best possible way with the arrival of Beatrice Rose in March I’d already made the decision to return to work after 3 weeks with her by my side, a journey which has been amazing, exhausting, challenging, fun, stressful, blissful and everything in between.

And now that the year is almost done?

I am feeling immensely proud, that we did it! 🎉, that the experience was in the main a hugely positive one and that I had the determination to do things my way right from the beginning.

But it didn’t just happen because of me, it is a massive team effort! I have an amazing husband who took a few weeks of shared paternity leave whilst I got back in the swing of things and who wholly supported my decision to return to work so early, and a team of grandparents who have been helping out since she was six months (and started to get more of a handful!) and who have helped out with Joseph too!

And it’s also down to my fantastic clients not one of whom batted an eyelid when I announced not just that I was pregnant but also that I planned to return to work at just 3 weeks, who happily joined me on Zoom and Teams calls and chatted to Beatrice, let me arrange calls and meetings around nap and feed times and to work in the most flexible way possible.

I genuinely can’t thank them enough so here’s to the people who made my really quite amazing year possible ❤️

I started the week thinking about change, with a return to school for my eldest, a full return to client work for me after scaling beck up since March, the grandparents coming on board to help with childcarethis and a visit to see nursery - lots of little changes were on the way for us.

And then at 6.34 pm on Thursday came the biggest change for us all the announcement of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II - we will all always remember where we were at that moment.

An extraordinary week of change.

Back To School he goes…

And he really didn’t want to! super anxious all day yesterday and this morning and upset about leaving his sister, culminating in a snapped shoelace and tears!

But we had a little chat on the way to school and by the time we were there he was excited! Think a hug from his bestie helped as well ❤️

Rollercoaster of emotions (his) and all begins 9am!
