Huge happy 50th to Eden Court, a true Highlands gem 🎉

Part theatre, part cinema, part music venue, and a big-hearted space for community connection.

They started the celebrations with an incredible concert featuring the and , not a bad way to mark 50 years!

We’ve been lucky to work alongside the Eden Court team for around two decades now (yes, really), supporting their design and comms and even a full rebrand along the way.

An absolute dream team to collaborate with, they are always thoughtful and passionate and open to explore new ideas with us.

Happy World Book Day - a celebration of all things reading, from an early age and through all stages of life.

Libraires are BIG part of making that happen.

But did you know that there’s no legal requirement for schools in Scotland to provide a school library, so depending on where you live you might not have access to free books.

Librarians also play a key role in matching kids with books to suit their interests, helping them fall in love with reading from an early age. But no libraries = no librarians.

Keeping libraries thriving means not only access to books, but to inclusive and safe community spaces where they can gain support and knowledge, as well as the freedom to dream, play, connect, grow and feel included.

As we wrap up 2025, here’s a wee glimpse of some of the work we’ve been busy creating for this year’s

Being their creative design partner means juggling visuals for around 15 different events, across 20+ venues, supporting 60+ performers and creatives and trying to make it all feel like one connected experience.

There are lots of moving parts, lots of artwork. Everything needing to work together, adapt across formats, and still feel unmistakably Hogmanay. Sometimes a bit frantic… always a labour of love.

Huge respect to the amazing operational team behind the scenes who make it all happen. The care, coordination and ambition it takes is something else - and we’re so proud to play a small part in supporting it, year after year.

Rolling out a new brand, but not ready for a whole new website?

That’s exactly where our client, the Irish Writers Centre, found themselves.

We built their site a few years ago and it was still working brilliantly… with clear navigation, solid functionality and happy users. But having since launched an exciting new visual identity, the site needed to align with this new look & feel.

Instead of starting from scratch, we refreshed their existing site to match their new brand identity - updating colours, typography and layouts, while keeping everything else well in place.

The result? A website that feels ‘brand new’ without the cost of a rebuild!

We are looking for photographers and artists with lived experience of disability and working within photography to speak about themselves or their practice for our upcoming event ‘Where Are The Disabled Photographers? Education Edition’. ✏️

This hybrid event will take place in Stills and online on Saturday 22 February and will be hosted by Stills’ Creative Learning Co-Ordinator, Louise McLachlan. Coinciding with our upcoming annual Stills School exhibition, the theme of this event is centred around practises and navigating education.

We were thrilled to hear last week that Edinburgh’s Hogmanay's 30th Anniversary Celebrations won the Scottish Thistle Awards 2024 in the category Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival! 🎉

Hillside has worked with their organisers for more than a decade, reimagining their visual identity and supporting them in promoting their world class events to audiences from around the world.

Ahhhh, what a beautiful November morning, almost makes me feel superhuman on my way to work!

I always love cycling past the Leamington Lift Bridge, it's such a unique landmark along the Union Canal and a lovely reminder that visual form + great function = brilliant design that can stand the tests of time.
