The Highland Fling Web Conference

The Highland Fling Web Conference The Highland Fling – Web Standards in Scotland was set up in 2007 to help raise awareness of best practice web development in Scotland. Why The Highland Fling?

It aims to give developers and businesses access to leaders and thinkers in the web industry, to inspire growth in our sector and to explore the future of the web. From humble beginnings in 2007 to over 100 attendees at each of the last three conferences, it has grown into a popular, friendly and unique event. To see our history, have a look at previous events on Lanyrd. The Highland Fling as a ti

tle was chosen as it can mean several different things however the conference is intended to inspire people to travel to Scotland and have a great time. Quite often you hear people affectionately referring to their Highland Fling get-away, we hope you’ll feel the same after attending and will want to come back time and time again. Who is it for? If you are in any way involved in web development then you are guaranteed to get a lot out of this conference. We have done our best to keep the price down and keep it accessible to as many people as possible – not just those who are backed by the company plastic. Furthermore, these speakers will share their deepest theoretical insights, as well as the practical tools and knowledge you can implement in your job straight away. Why should you come? The idea behind this conference is to bring people together and raise awareness about web standards and best practice in Scotland. If you fall into this category then what have you got to lose? You have more to lose by not coming! The web development industry moves very quickly and the tools we use on a daily basis change just as quickly…

Whether you are a public sector manager, a web developer or even an IT professional responsible for content and quality of a web site, it is part of your responsibility to stay on top of these things and The Highland Fling will do it’s very best to make that easier for you. Why not register for the event and make sure you don’t miss out.
