A new player has entered the game 🎬 ✏️ 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we’re expanding here at the studio with the addition of Pedro Hernán Salazar Dávalos, who’ll be stepping into our newly established Business Development Manager role. With a professional career that started on the very studio lot 20th Century Fox custom built for Titanic (1997), Pedro Hernán’s track record not only bolsters A&L’s client facing capabilities but also expands in-house experience to nearly half a century’s worth of combined elite production savoir-faire.

With an impressive first week already under his belt, we’re very excited to continue growing together into the future. Welcome to the team Pedro!

We’re hyped to share our latest documentary piece for Whisky Magazine: Bowmore: The Making of a Legend.

This film dives deep into the rich origins of whisky-making on Islay, unravelling the story of Bowmore Distillery—Scotland's oldest licensed distillery. From its humble beginnings in 1779 to its legendary status today, we chart the journey of craftsmanship, community, and innovation that has made Bowmore a true icon.

🎥 This was a really fun one to create—getting to spend time on Islay exploring the Island, meeting the locals and also getting to sample some incredible whisky along the way!

🎥 New Work: Citizens Advice Scotland, Worried this winter?

We’ve had the privilege of working with Citizens Advice Scotland since we started Arms & Legs back in 2018. Their dedication to providing essential support across Scotland is always inspiring, so we were really excited to help bring their Winter Campaign to life this year.

For this project, we enlisted the incredible talent of Scottish spoken word artist Kevin Mclean. Kevin crafted a heartfelt poem inspired by focus group findings from CAS, capturing the real struggles people face with energy bills and the cost of living.

🇵🇰 We spent three weeks on the road in Pakistan travelling through Islamabad, Naran, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza Valley, Gulmit and Passu taking in the most incredible scenery and culture. The people we met along the way are the most kind, humble, hospitable folks who wanted to share their stories and way of life.

We witnessed the tangible effects of climate change firsthand such as air pollution visible from the Margalla Hills above Islamabad city. Glacial melting in the North and flood damage in the surrounding areas. The reality of climate change in Pakistan is undeniable.

Heartbreaking stories emerged as people shared how weather patterns drastically changed over the last two decades. Communities are forced to adapt, altering their homes' infrastructure to withstand the onslaught of climate change. With so many people living in poverty, this is not always possible. The absence of policymakers and adequate representation in government for those in the north, being a developing country, exacerbates the situation. Ironically, Pakistan contributes less than 1 percent of global emissions, yet bears the brunt of the consequences as one of the most affected countries.

We spoke with the academics, teachers, political activists, religious leaders and local people about the impact of climate change and how the world needs to respond before it’s too late.
