Nestled in the picturesque Connemara mountains, Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Gardens welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world each year.

In 2024, we completed several projects on this historic site. As part of the renovation works at Fordham Hall, we designed a flexible and functional space to hold a variety of events including temporary exhibitions, presentations, performances and more.

In the gardens, we implemented a new interpretative design in the Bothy and Toolshed. These spaces have been designed to be suitable for heavy visitor use and include exciting and interactive displays, while still maintaining a rustic nature to tell the story of their original use.

The Rhins of Galloway Coast Path starts and finishes at the harbourside in Stranraer, next to the Gateway to Galloway Tourist Information Centre and Community Hub. This location features a distinctive trailhead with a striking corten steel archway, seating, and interpretive displays.

The route is clearly marked from this point with fingerposts and interpretive signage, all showcasing the eye-catching coast path logo and a distinctive palette of colours and materials.

The trailhead beside the Gateway to Galloway is a striking focal point for the route. Visitors can explore information about the trail and enjoy the beautiful harbour views, while walkers can celebrate completing their journey by passing through the sculpted archway at both the start and finish of their adventure.

The Rhins of Galloway Coast Path is a new long distance route around Scotland’s most south-westerly peninsula.

By linking in with the existing Mull of Galloway Trail, walkers will be able to follow the 83 mile circular route right around the Rhins, discovering stunning scenery, amazing wildlife and distinctive history. The circuit, which starts in Stranraer, takes in tranquil Luce Bay and the windswept cliffs of the Mull of Galloway, the sandy coves of the west coast and the sheltered waters of Loch Ryan.

This exciting new project to open up access to the coast is being led by Dumfries & Galloway Council in close partnership with local people and organisations, including the Rhins of Galloway Coast Path Steering Group. It is being supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Coastal Communities Fund.

Join us in celebrating the Great Tapestry of Scotland and its incredible success.
A year on since they officially opened, we are thrilled to see the Great Tapestry of Scotland continue to thrive.

From the design of the building to the creation of the exhibition space and development of informative and visually striking panels, the collective efforts and collaborations have elevated the tapestry to new heights. We are immensely proud to have been part of this award winning project, among them: the EAA Award, the RICS Regional Award, and the Scottish Borders Design Award for the flagship building.
