So which is the best one for advertising?
I will give you a hint....They both are.
Like everything there is a pro and a con, but we are only going to focus on the pros.
Facebook is your new age billboards and commercials. Your audience doesn't know they need what you are promoting. You just put a compelling offer, a little FOMO here and work off their impulsive buying habits.
Google on the other hand is having your audience walk into your "store" looking for something in particular, having the right offer and with their user intent have them buy.
So why are you just focusing on one?
The best way to structure your campaigns is to have them help each other.
Learn your keywords, use Google Adwords to get in front of the people that are actively looking for your product or service and send them to a landing page that is pixeled.
Please DO NOT send people who Google search to a website. This is by far one of the worst things you can do.
It creates to much confusion in an over stimulating world. Get them to a landing page with ONE CTA.
**DON'T FORGET TO PIXEL THE PAGE**
I can't stress that enough. Some people will click out because they are in the research phase, 95% of people will click out if you didn't grab their attention well enough, but guess what they are researching because they want to buy.
So that 95% that didn't buy, are now able to be re-targeted on Facebook, by either putting a better more compelling offer or adding more value you can draw them back in.
**Side note: You want to create your re-targeting campaign at the same time you set everything else up. You want it to start building right away.
Yes you can just use one or the other, but together makes a force to be reckoned with.
The more points of contact you have with your audience the more you will be top of mind. You will also develop trust with your brand and show authority in your space.
Don't settle for just one...
