Phoenix Content Marketing

Phoenix Content Marketing A professional content marketing agency based in the heart of Edinburgh and connecting you with your best customers online.

Phoenix Content Marketing was founded by a professional content and inbound marketing specialist with over six years’ experience. A frequently published writer and author, it took around 15 years of writing anything and everything for her to pretty much become the female John Wick of content creation (she’s very thorough, doesn’t stop until the job is done, but still isn’t impervious to being run

over by the odd car). Phoenix Content Solutions was born, and with a team of talented Edinburgh-based writers, editors, videographers, graphic designers and fully-certified content marketing specialists, we’re ready to take on whatever challenge you decide to throw at us (perhaps with the very rare exception!). Did we mention the other kick-ass thing about us? We’re all freelancers, and we’re here because we want to be. The idea behind Phoenix Content Solutions is to challenge the norm – whilst producing high quality content. We’ve worked with other agencies in the past, and we know we can do better. What we do

You give us a job, we get to work. From full content marketing and co-ordination solutions, to copywriting & editing, video and creative content, we’ve got you covered. We also do important bits and pieces for your website, including conversion optimisation and user testing. And if you like the idea of any of the above, we’re currently welcoming new clients. Just get in touch for a quick, free consultation!

I don't enjoy making this post, but since early this year I've been fielding calls and emails from batches of job applicants thinking they've applied for a job or have an interview with Phoenix e-Marketing, or Phoenix Marketing. The so-called company have no phone number and no Google listing on their website, and when people Google them, they find us. Often people call thinking it IS us, because they don't check the details.

This was just annoying at first, but a couple of months ago, someone left a review on our Google listing saying they'd applied for a job and been scammed. I replied to this person, and then reported the review to Google, who immediately removed it. But ever since, I've been telling anyone who got in touch about jobs that this seems to be a scam and to be careful.

Their website is threadbare, and since I've been watching, they've changed their displayed email from a gmail to a hotmail address. I was sure their details led me to a registered charity at one point, but that seems to be gone. This is who I'm talking about: https://www.phoenix-emarketing.co.uk/

They seem to be advertising for jobs mainly on Indeed and the like. I even had a recruitment person contact me to ask if they could help - and he had a good chuckle when I ended up having to explain the whole scam thing.

I don't even know the purpose of the scam - whether they're asking people for money, or just attempting identity theft/selling people's details on. Who knows. I've now contacted the police, because another batch of applicants are calling.

But whatever it is, if you're reading this, stay away from it. We are NOT advertising for any jobs, and this has nothing to do with us. Thank you.

Can you believe this post was written by a real human? 😆

Felt like having a little bit of fun today, since I am getting these ads about copy written by AI constantly rammed down my throat on FB.

Some of us are actually passionate about creating great content, and don't find it a relief to hand over the responsibility to bots.

If you’re publishing blogs for your AR/VR or immersive tech company… are you doing it right?

And how would you know?

Well, it depends entirely on what you want to get out of it. There’s not necessarily a right or wrong way to blog, but it depends wholly on the context.

Here are the four types of blogs we all see every day - and what you'll get from each.

Blog type 1 (usually between 50 - 500 words):

Maybe you’re just blogging to keep your website updated, and Google happy with fresh content. In which case, it doesn’t really matter too much whether you’re posting company updates, a few lines of thought, news roundups, or posts geared around your own products/services.

Go ahead; Blog your heart out! Just don’t expect it to result in anything much.

Blog type 2 (between 300 - 1500 words):

This is when companies put a bit more effort into something leaning more towards content marketing. You’re aiming to answer questions, provide valuable content, and include some good insights into your industry. What's more, it’s gaining traffic.

These blogs are okay, however they’re usually a) not always neutral/trying to sell or b) they have no call-to-actions to get readers to convert into leads.

The result? More traffic, minimal actual conversions.

Blog type 3 (800 - 2000 words):

This is the type of blog we specialise in. It’s helpful, insightful, unbiased and full of tips and advice that tells everyone what they’d need to know around a subject.

It’s also properly optimised with call to actions, with mean visitors convert into leads which can be nurtured with the right information at the right time - eventually turning into sales.

Each of these blogs are essentially assets to your business, and should be treated as such. They will keep bringing in leads months or years after they're first published, after all.

Blog type 4: (2000 - 5000 words)

This is the type of deep dive content that is incredibly valuable, but also takes a LOT more research and time to create.

Google is particularly fond of these just because of the amount of value and high-level content you’re providing to its users.

Again, they contain the relevant call to actions, insight, and helpful advice - but they go into far more detail and are broken up with statistics, research and graphics.

Working in AR/VR and immersive tech, it goes without saying that you’re on the cutting edge of technology and software – and you know what’s possible.

It's why you do what you do, and you're fully aware of the value you can bring to your clients.

But they don’t.

Maybe you want to demonstrate the value you can bring to on-the-job training, for example. I recently spoke to an AR investor who told us about how AR was being used to help train staff and enable them to get to grips with sensitive tequila gauges.

Or maybe you want to demonstrate the value that your immersive experiences can bring to clients in terms of the amount of engagement and awareness you can generate.

From art galleries to the military (I'm sure you've heard about Microsoft Hololens’s latest deal with the US Army to provide 120,000 HoloLens headsets in a 10-year contract worth $21.88 billion) AR/VR and immersive tech is undeniably here to stay.

Inbound marketing allows you to demonstrate the value of your solutions to any field, regardless of whether it’s training and education, retail, defence, or tourism.

Whatever the value you can bring – be it time, financial ROI, brand awareness or increased productivity – inbound marketing for AR/VR can perfectly demonstrate it, and the difference it can deliver, for your clients.

It can also shorten your sales cycle! Message me to find out more.

Hang on... THE best investment you can make for your AR/VR or immersive tech company?!

Okay, so that's a bold claim - but it does have the receipts to back it up.

A content marketing strategy is a long-term investment that pays off when you put the effort into creating the right content, for the right people - and doing this consistently.

It takes hours of work and hard graft every month. But you show up, and you deliver.

It also means that your ideal clients will be finding YOU through the brilliant, helpful content you create - and they'll then be nurtured down the funnel, so they get all the right information at every stage of their buyer's journey.

After a while of producing content, and your marketing automation running in the background, it reaches a tipping point.

And all those blogs and content you worked so hard to write? They'll keep paying off months and even years after you published them.

That, ladies and gentlemen (and those of you not so ascribed) is why content (AKA inbound) marketing is an investment in the long-term growth of your business.

Too much work on your own? Hire an agency - preferably one that specialises in working with AR/VR and immersive tech *cough* and offers unlimited edits on everything they do 😉

The results we produce for our clients speak volumes.

Welp. You know where to find us.
