💜 Fun Filled Charity Weekend

🪂 The plan was for Group One to take on the skydive challenge on Saturday, but after a long wait it became clear that the weather sadly had other ideas.

Sunday’s group then spent most of the day waiting, before finally getting the go-ahead late in the evening. After a very long day, all four participants took to the skies and completed their jump!

The remaining four skydivers will be rescheduled for a later date.

However, we couldn’t let them off that easily…

🏃🏽‍♀️Some of our keeper’s partners, children and our coordinator had already signed up to take part in the Cancer Research 5K Mud Run on Sunday, so those whose skydive was postponed were roped into that as well!

It was a fantastic weekend supporting a truly worthwhile cause, Cancer Research.

🎉 So far, we have raised an incredible £5,000 through the skydive fundraiser.

Clipping season has arrived in the glen! 🐑✂️

Sheep are sheared each spring to keep them cool during the warmer months and to help prevent parasites.

The fleece is then sent to the Wool Board (British Wool Marketing Board) where it is sorted and graded before being sold on to be used in a variety of wool products. 🧶🐑🌿

This is the weekend they take the leap! 🪂

Today the weather was not playing ball!
So that being said, sadly today’s group had to be cancelled. However all fingers are crossed tomorrow will go ahead for the final four jumpers.
The rest will be re-scheduled when suitable.

A great success at the Angus Show!

Having Strathmore Rugby Club and Angus Glens Moorland Group side by side certainly raised a few eyebrows…
But it sparked some fantastic conversations!
