On Friday night, the ChameleonCRM team came together at Chester Racecourse to celebrate what has been a fantastic year for us. It was an evening filled with great food, plenty of laughs and a chance to reflect on everything weโ€™ve achieved together.

This year, weโ€™ve had the privilege of working with so many brilliant clients - including welcoming a number of new ones - and weโ€™re incredibly proud of the results we've delivered as a team.

We mentioned that it's been a busy summer, which has seen ChameleonCRM onboard a number of new clients. One of these is Veygo, a pioneering brand offering young drivers access to flexible, affordable car insurance.

It's a company that is doing great things in its space, and we're thrilled to be helping them take things up a notch with their CRM. Here are a few of the wins we've already delivered:

๐™๐™„๐™‹: Test occasionally, but shift main QA to Outlook (New) + OWA. Transition will take time as large enterprises can move slowly.

The Final Expiration 2028๐Ÿ’€
You'll still need to support Windows 10-based Outlook versions as Microsoft ends all paid security updates in 2028. Any orgs still on Windows 10 then, will basically be running haunted machines. You will then be able to safely stop testing on Word-based Outlook completely. ๐Ÿ‘ป

๐ŸฆŽ Where did ChameleonCRM go this summer? ๐Ÿ•ต

We've been quiet. Really quiet. The truth is, when client growth is on the line, we prioritise the work over the likes. This summer was a blur of big projects, stategic overhauls and other big client successes. We simply got too busy achieving results to talk about them!

But we've come up for air, and the content engine is back up and running. In the coming weeks and months, expect to see tales of client wins, some exciting announcements, and, of course, the useful guides and content you all know and love.

Meet the Team: Nic โ€“ Customer Experience Director ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Itโ€™s time for another team spotlight โ€“ and this week, we're introducing Nic, our brilliant Customer Experience Director. From mapping journeys to decoding data, sheโ€™s all about creating smooth, effective experiences for our clients and their customers.

Hereโ€™s a little more about Nic, in her own words...

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป A typical day at the office?
Itโ€™s a mixed bag โ€“ which I love. I could be mapping out customer journeys, setting up design templates, troubleshooting code (looking at you, Outlook!), digging into data for insights, or working on client pitches. I also catch up with our amazing client partners to run through the week, align with the team on priorities and business development, and explore how AI may help drive efficiency across the board.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ What do you like to do away from work?
Iโ€™m currently training for a HybridX event in August (a bit like Hyrox), and Iโ€™ve recently taken up running โ€“ itโ€™s been a great stress-buster and helps with sleep too. Outside of fitness, Iโ€™m working on perfecting my sourdough, and attempting to grow herbs and veg. Iโ€™m also supporting my daughter through her GCSEs and helping my son get ready for university โ€“ and yes, that includes driving lessons.

๐Ÿ“ง Biggest pet peeve in the world of email?
Trying to hide the unsubscribe link. I recently saw one in red text on a green background โ€“ impossible to read. Please donโ€™t do that!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Best career advice you've received?
It wasnโ€™t so much specific advice, but Iโ€™ve had some brilliant managers who truly believed in me. They gave me the confidence to grow and the freedom to shape my own role, which made all the difference.

๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ Something on your bucket list?
Right now, Iโ€™m in a bit of a fitness/challenge mindset. Iโ€™ve got my eye on 'The Wall' โ€“ a 70-mile challenge along Hadrianโ€™s Wall in 26 hours. I havenโ€™t quite worked up the confidence to sign up... yet!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Why CRM?
โ€œIt was my first job straight from uni - I actually started in the direct mail world then eventually moved into email. I absolutely loved my first role, I loved the versatility and the collaboration between departments, plus, I worked with an amazing team - it was a great introduction into the world of CRM.โ€

๐Ÿฅ— If not CRM?
โ€œAnyone who knows me, knows that I have a huge passion for all things nutrition and wellness. If I wasn't doing CRM I most certainly would've gone down the route of nutritional science.โ€

๐Ÿง  Best career advice?
โ€œโ€˜Itโ€™s only paperโ€™ - this was a quote from my manager at my first role in CRM and it just stuck with me. No matter how tough things get in the day-to-day, don't let it take over. We're not saving lives doing what we do and there's always a resolution to be found. So just take a deep breath and move on.โ€

โ€œTravel through every region of Italy, sampling all the local delicacies โ€” and wines, of course!โ€

Over the next few weeks, we'll be pulling back the curtain and introducing you to the brilliant people behind the scenes here at ChameleonCRM. First up: the man who wears many hats โ€“ Mike!

๐Ÿง  A typical day at the office?
โ€œNo two days are ever the same โ€“ which is great! Iโ€™m usually bouncing between building email campaigns, brainstorming new strategies, mapping out journeys, doing a bit of competitor sleuthing, trying to make sense of rogue data, or pulling together reports and analysis. Oh โ€“ and battling my post-lunch sweet tooth. The biscuits usually win.โ€

๐ŸŒด And when heโ€™s not at the office?
โ€œItโ€™s all about family, travel, golf and padel โ€“ in that order. Although, padel is fast climbing the rankings. Iโ€™m also a big fan of the occasional do-nothing day on the sofa, bingeing some telly.โ€

๐Ÿ“ฌ Why CRM?
โ€œHonestly? I fell into it by accident. I moved up North in 2017 and was hunting for any marketing job I could find. Luckily, it was a CRM role โ€“ and Iโ€™ve never looked back. The variety is what I love most, and I genuinely believe CRM is one of the most vital and exciting areas of marketing today. It is constantly evolving, and the potential for personalisation and real customer connection is unmatched by any other channel.โ€
