So, since I got my Cricut Maker on Sunday I have taken the time to have a proper play, done a bunch of test runs, and let my creative flag fly freely.

I’ve done some rainbow paper crafts, some Doctor Who style cards and quotes, converted one of the lanterns I made for our wedding into something a bit more Christmassy, and a whole lot of tests for the different pens that can be used in the Maker.

What I’ve learned is that creativity is like food for me, when I forget to create it starves my soul. This past week has been such a boost for my mental health and I feel so motivated again.

I’ll definitely be putting some things up for sale, need to get a few more provisions (frames, a stack ton of card stock, etc.), then get real photos, price things, and list them on some form of selling site. In the meantime if anyone sees anything they like or gets an idea from these tests for something they’d like to ask about, drop me a message.

My stationery is about to get a whole lot more fancy (and complicated)!

The Cricut Maker is a computer controlled machine that can write, cut, deboss, score, and perforate a variety of materials including paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and even leather.

Wedding invitations that I design and print can now include guests names, “handwritten” in a number of styles and inks (saving you from writing them all yourself!)

Intricate patterns can be cut out of invites, and occasion cards, to create beautiful unique stationery.

Custom cake toppers can be cut, gifts can be customised, embellishments can be added to hundreds of different parts of your weddings or events.

I was in Glasgow on Saturday to photograph the incredible wedding of these two magnificent humans.
It really was the greatest honour to be part of the wedding of Sarah-May and Paul.
Sarah-May is a dear friend who I have known since I was a teenager, I found myself constantly emotional throughout the day, as she prepared for her wedding and married Griff, her perfect man, at WEST On The Green.
It was lovely to work alongside Mike from RPL Wedding Videos, we worked really well together and both got some great shots.
