Marketni Business Marketing Support Business Marketing Support That Understands the Whole Business, Not Just the Campaign. 📍 Epsom, Surrey But we’re not stopping there!

Welcome to Marketni - A brand born from the vision of bridging two worlds: the UK and the Middle East. 🌟 "Marketni" means "Market Me" in Arabic, and that's exactly what we’re here to do - support individuals and businesses in growing by applying proven, common-sense marketing strategies. We’re also creating the first-ever Middle East & UK networking community dedicated to marketing. Founded by Martin Walker, a seasoned marketer with 20 years of industry applied experience working with major companies in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. While living in these diverse regions, Martin noticed a significant gap in how communities marketed themselves and the issues around being able to position themselves effectively and competitively in their niche markets. There are undeniable challenges for companies in the Middle East to expand their marketing reach, locally and internationally, with so much untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. 🌱

We’re bringing small businesses and individuals closer together for the first time, cutting through the noise and misinformation, while fostering an environment where people can connect, grow, and scale their businesses through marketing communities.

Some brands just stick. Does yours?

Making a sale matters, being remembered is what brings them back.

If your brand keeps slipping away, let’s find out why.

DM Marketni. Let’s make it stick not slip away in a second 🫠

It fits. Provided nobody parks next to it 😬

A two-metre-wide Jaguar type-01 in a 2.4-metre bay leaves roughly 20cm on either side. Its doors need around 76cm to open and that assumes everyone else parked properly 🙄

We’re not reviewing the car. We’re showing beyond the launch film and into real life scenarios.

Good marketing finds friction before customers do.

It fits, just about..
Provided nobody else turns up 😇

A standard UK parking space is approximately 4.8 metres long by 2.4 metres wide.

The Jaguar Type 01 is 5.2 metres long and 2 metres wide.

Even when perfectly centred, that leaves roughly 20cm on either side, while the doors require around 76cm to open properly.

And that calculation generously assumes the drivers beside you have parked perfectly between the lines 🫣 A big ask these days, unless your start your new years resolution early.

This isn’t a review of the Jaguar, and we’re not judging whether people should want one. We aren’t necessarily the target customer.

The video has some fun with the idea, but the question behind it is serious:

What happens when an impressive product leaves the launch film and meets a world that refuses to rearrange itself around it?

Customers experience cars in parking spaces, driveways, streets and everyday routines.

It is a car after all, unless the plan is to admire it from the window or research every car park before leaving the house.

At Marketni, we look beyond how impressive a product appears. We consider how it works when customers actually have to use it.

Where does the friction begin?
What limitations will customers discover?
Which frustrations could have been anticipated before launch?

We apply the same thinking to businesses and their marketing.

An offer can look brilliant, attract attention and generate interest, but that means very little if the real customer experience doesn’t work.

Good marketing doesn’t hide friction. It finds it before the customer does.

THE GREAT BRITISH LOYALTY RIP-OFF. 🇬🇧

£51.99 to stay with EE. £45 to leave for faster broadband, Netflix and a SIM.
Loyal customers deserve a reason to stay.

The Great British Loyalty Penalty. “I’ve finally been rewarded right into the arms of the competition.”

£51.99 a month to stay. £45 to leave.

That was the choice I faced after years with EE. The alternative I found included 900Mb full fibre, Netflix and a SIM. Apparently, my direct debit was getting more out of this relationship than I was.

Episode 02 of the Marketni AI Podcast looks at the British loyalty penalty and what businesses of any size can learn from it.

We talk about useful brand partnerships, benefits that go beyond discounts, and why existing customers should enjoy them too.

If someone has to threaten to leave before you show them their value, the conversation came too late.

🎙️ The British Loyalty Penalty, just over three minutes.

A destination isn’t a reason. Sales tells people where you’re going. Marketing gives them a reason to come with you.

If your message only explains what you sell, don’t be surprised when customers keep driving.

Lead with the value - not just the destination.

“It’s a baguette, not a mortgage application.” 🥖 Small business marketing problems you don’t always see.

Episode 01 of the Marketni AI Podcast.

Three callers. Three business problems. A few uncomfortable questions.

The point? Sometimes the reason customers aren’t buying isn’t your marketing, it’s the experience you’re asking them to go through.

Light-hearted humour, quick and hopefully useful.

🎙️ It’s a baguette, not a mortgage application.

“Quality over quantity,” they say.
Then they judge your business by its follower count.

50 followers: “Are they any good?”
1,000 followers: “They look established.”

Same business. Same offer. Different first impression.

We’ve said it before: attention isn’t a sale. We stand by that.

But when you’re starting out, a small following can make a serious buyer hesitate before they’ve even looked at what you offer.

There’s another potential benefit: more followers means more opportunities for engagement, especially as Linkedin measure on the first 60 mins of posting.

Any push for engagement will help your reach.

Quality still matters most. But pretending quantity plays no part in perception? That’s wishful thinking.

Your follower count isn’t proof you’re good. However, It can still influence whether someone sticks around to find out more about you.

We have 14 followers, we'll let you be the judge of that.

Twenty opinions.
Nineteen were never going to buy it anyway.

“Wrong colour.” “Too modern.” “Preferred the old one.”

Everyone’s an expert when they’re spending someone else’s money.

Listen to feedback. But before changing direction, ask who it’s coming from.

Your target audience has a different opinion, the one that matters most.

Are you trying to win customers.. or a round of applause?
