Devon Air Ambulance delivers time-critical care thanks to your support. But now you can help to support our patients even before we arrive at an incident.

We attend hundreds of patients every year and in 2021, 333 of these were suffering a cardiac arrest - their heart had stopped beating.

In a recent survey, a staggering 67% of those who took part told us that they would like to find out more about using a defibrillator as although they would like to be able to step in and help to save a life, they lacked the confidence to do so because they weren't sure how to use a defibrillator.

In response to this important information we are offering you the chance to boost your confidence with training delivered by our very own Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care at our first set of community defibrillator sessions in 5 locations across Devon.

Doing something to help is better than doing nothing! Click the link below to find a location near you and join us in helping to save a life should the need arise!

Proud to serve Devon

Devon’s two Air Ambulances are funded by Devon Air Ambulance Trust which is a registered charity. Registered Charity No: 1077998. Our aim is "to relieve sickness and injury in and around the county of Devon through provision of an emergency Air Ambulance Service." In 2018 it cost £7.5 million to run the service. In addition, we need to raise around £1m more to build capital funds in order to ensure we can replace our aircraft after ten years’ service and to meet significant maintenance and repair costs, plus ambitious plans to extend our operating hours. The Charity is wholly independent meaning that through the Devon Air Ambulance Trading Company Limited (DAATCL) it has its own Air Operating Certificate (AOC). This means effectively the service and Charity are able to make more operational decisions without the need for a third party, therefore we can liaise directly with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
