Casual Summer Work Available

A local property inspection business is looking for some casual staff to assist with some inspections over the Summer.
The Inspections will take place in Falmouth and Penryn.
Full training will be provided, but will need to fulfil the following criteria –

Must have own (or access to) vehicle
Have an amazing eye for detail
Have some property knowledge to be able to identify maintenance issues
Be able to identify if a property is clean to a high standard and identify any cleaning issues
Be fully confident in working alone within properties, sometimes with other contractors present
Be able to work quickly and efficiently
Physical role – lifting mattresses and moving furniture will be required
Be able to identify and test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
Be able to read utility meters
Have excellent customer service attitude

Must be available for the majority of the following dates –
21, 22, 24, 26, 29, 30 June
2, 3, 6, 7 July
There may then be some additional dates in August and September.
This is a contract that we fulfil every year so for the right candidates there will be opportunities to return year on year – as many do.

I am offering £16ph on a self employed basis – I will require an invoice from you.
45 p per mile for business mileage

I am looking for people to work in Falmouth- for 1 or 2 weeks commencing around Monday 24th June. Up to 40 hours per week available. £17 per hour. Full training given but must have the following -

Property Inspector/Inventory Clerk - 28 hours per week over 4 days

Based in Penryn, Westcountry Inventories is a small local company offering Property Inspections including Inventories, Check Outs and Periodic inspections to both letting agents and private landlords across Cornwall.

We have a great opportunity for a Part Time Property Inspector/Inventory Clerk to join our team.

We are looking for candidates ideally with at least two years of relevant experience who are driven, motivated and confident working under pressure.

The Role of Property Inspector/Inventory Clerk will require you to

· Collect keys from letting agents / enter empty properties. (Covid-safe protocol agreed with all agents)

· Compile reports on property condition along with lists of their furnishings using iPad software.

· Take photographs in properties

· Take meter readings and test smoke alarms at properties

· Meet tenants/landlords to discuss findings if required

· Work on your own and manage your time effectively

· Visit and inspect tenanted properties

· Carry out Health and Safety Inspections

The successful candidate will be reliable, presentable, and confident, be articulate with good spoken/written English and display a large degree of common sense with first class attention to detail.

Full on-the-job inventory clerk training and will be provided. Relevant courses, exams, and qualifications will be paid for following successful completion of the probation period. Full clean driving license and own vehicle are essential.

Hours - Negotiable but must include a minimum of 1 Saturday in 3 during June – November

Starting Salary - £11-£12 per hour
