Take this as my freelance copywriting Spotify Wrapped for 2023
Feeling mildly vulnerable exposing these numbers, but I wanted to highlight how DIFFICULT it has been starting out as a freelancer this year. These are the numbers I have acquired since really pushing being a freelance copywriter since September.
It’s not all bells and whistles, working when I like on what I like. It’s been about taking the opportunities as they come, paid or unpaid just to gain some exposure. Despite having two degrees and an equestrian specialism I’ve worked in for over ten years, for me, it’s come down to who I know, not what I know.
I am so overwhelmingly grateful to those who have shared my posts, passed on my name or just kept me in mind when the opportunity arises. I couldn’t have even begun to imagine this would become a reality if it weren’t for my wonderful network of wonderful people.
To my clients that trusted me with their brand’s image, THANK YOU. Times are extremely hard right now, especially for small and local businesses and I’m completely appreciative of anything and everything you’ve been able to offer in thanks.
I’m far from being successful (or even being able to pay next months rent) but here’s to tripling these numbers by this time next year.
This year has been a total write off for me, from my personal life falling apart to the absolute misery that is English weather. Thank you to everyone that has supported me, watered me and put me in the sun when it's out. Manifesting a more positive and sunnier 2024 🌞
Merry Christmas, see ya later 2023 🎄
