I had a huge amount of fun as press officer for Salisbury & District Young Farmers Club over the last couple of years.

During this time I focused on building the club's identity within the local community, completely overhauling of the club's social platforms and printed media to create a consistent visual identity for the club that was easily manageable and that people could recognise!

As a result of this, the club's social media following grew steadily, and within the first few months alone their reach on Facebook rose by 180% with page likes increasing by 75%, and their Instagram reach rose by 387% and followers rose by 321%.

Earlier this year I proudly handed over control of their socials, along with with branding guidelines, to the new committee members and am very proud to see that they are successfully maintaining the club's new image! I look forward to watching the club continue to flourish in the future ✨️

As this year's activity enrolment comes around, I thought I'd share with you all some of the fun I had last year at festival take 2! From bee keeping and clay shooting to terazzo and pyrography so much to choose from and so much fun was had!

Enjoyed making this leaflet to advertise my local young farmers' club back in 2023. If you are local to Salisbury and aged between 10 and 28 with an interest in rural life, pop along to their new members evening on Wednesday 24th September!

At the end of October I was surprised and honoured to be awarded the Flamstone Cup for 'leader's choice' at Salisbury Young Farmers awards night. I joined Young Farmers in September 2022 and it has given me so many oppotunities since; including the chance to enter horse judging and creative competitions, to build on my confidence with public speaking, learn about different areas of agriculture and, since April 2023, taking over the club's social media before officially becoming the club's press officer in September 2023!

So at the end of August I ventured off to not only my first festival, but my first SOLO festival! It was my first time trying so many crazy new things (and re-visiting some old ones) and first time driving on some particularly scary roads...Here's to doing it all again next year!
