July – Celebrating Independent Shopfront Businesses
Every morning, before most of us begin our day, someone is unlocking a shop door with hope.
Hope that today will be a little busier than yesterday.
Hope that they’ll sell enough to pay the bills, cover wages, keep the lights on and continue doing what they love.
Behind every independent shopfront is a person.
A family.
A dream that often comes with sleepless nights, long hours and sacrifices that most people never see.
Running a small business isn’t just about selling products or serving customers.
It’s about showing up on the difficult days.
Opening the doors even when trade is slow.
Smiling through the pressure.
Supporting staff, suppliers and the local community, while quietly carrying the weight of responsibility.
Running an independent business is about so much more than opening a shop each morning. It’s about resilience, determination and continuing to serve your community, even when times are tough.
Independent businesses are the heartbeat of our high streets.
This month, we’d like to give something back.
Throughout July, we’ll be surprising a number of independent shopfront businesses with a gift from us of 500 business cards and 1000 flyers for everything they do for the community
Because behind every “Open” sign is someone who simply refused to give up.
