Labels for Living was started in 2014 out of a need for name labels for my sons school clothing. We have all been there, we send our children off to school looking their best only to discover that on their return their uniform is not quite the same as when they left. In my case, my sons uniform was never the same one I sent him out in! So I decided to take the matter in to my own hands and develop

ed my own range of labels that not only helps me to be more organised (at least in this part of my life) but would also teach my son to take greater responsibility for his belongings- and they look great too! I have kept things simple, both in terms of label design and product range. This is a small business run from home around my other commitments and I hope to help more parents (and even schools and organisations) with the development of this product. I am a local mum with a small vision. Lets get organised!

Metalic Stick-On Labels

Labels that will stick onto hard and smooth surfaces to label an assortment of items such as pens/pencils, drink bottles, plastic containers, sporting equipment, lunch boxes, crockery, DVD's ... the list is endless!
They even stay on through the dishwasher!

Iron on Labels - Supply

Labels will be supplied in a clear bag as individual labels for ease of use.

We will also supply you with the relevant covering to use when ironing these on to fabric/garments.

Removing the Label

1. Set the iron to a medium high temperature.
2. Press the iron down firmly on the label and in place for 10 seconds.
3. Remove the iron, using tweezers take a corner of the label and begin to peel the label/backing off the fabric.

Caution: Use care not to touch the label or iron, as both will be hot.
lf the label cools, repeat step 2.

Caution: Keep iron out of reach of children. The iron-on labels are non-toxic, but should not be ingested.

Washing

Use mild detergent or alkaline detergents for washing with a temperature setting below 150° F (60° C). Garments with correctly attached labels can be washed a number of times. The use of bleach over an extended period of time may discolor the label.

Attaching the Label

For best results, attach the label to garments with smooth surfaces made from 100% linen, 100% cotton or cotton and polyester blends. Not recommended for silk, wool or 100% polyester. All fabrics vary so please check garment manufacturers care instructions for fabric content.

1. Set dry iron on medium high temperature (290° to 370° F, or 130° to 170° C).
2. Remove any wrinkles from fabric by ironing the section where you want to place the label.
3. Place the label on the fabric. Cover with supplied tissue paper and press the iron on the label for 10 seconds. Be careful not to move the iron as this may dislodge the label from its position.
4. Repeat 3 times with a focus on the label corners, allowing sufficient cooling between each repetition.

Iron-on Labels

With Labels for Living iron-on clothing labels you will never have to sew on another label. Made from a nylon coated tape with a heat activated adhesive, they are easy to apply and will stay on in the wash and the tumble dryer. Nothing could be easier.

Standard size iron-on clothing labels are ideal for school children and the elderly. The larger size ensures that clothing is easily identifiable and returned to it's owner if lost.

Postage by Royal Mail 2nd class letter post and labels can be turned around in 2 days. Postage costs £1.00

Labels can have one or two lines of text and can include a picture for a personal touch.

Colour is white with black printing

Various font styles available.
