A quick catch-up on the last couple of months… in short, we’ve been kept busy!

👗 We showed some support to sustainable fashion and a local charity with the design of their promotional materials
🧡 Stands were built for brilliant clients, plus a trip to see our designs brought to life
😲 We ran a client workshop in a seriously stunning space. If you’ve never presented from behind a tree trunk podium, we highly recommend it
🍍 We ditched the traditional birthday cake in favour of something a little more tropical 🎂
☀️ Now we're wrapping up May with an absolute scorcher of a week!

A little update on Giving Forward 💜

When we launched the initiative in March, we were genuinely inspired by the calibre of applications and the ambition, resilience and purpose behind so many female-led businesses.

To everyone who applied, thank you for the time and care you put into your submissions. It was a privilege to read about your journeys and the work you’re building. Starting and growing a business takes courage, and persistence and it’s clear that’s already in place. We’re cheering you on for what comes next.

We’re incredibly proud to finally share our work with Hurlands . A brand built to redefine how sport, wellness and community come together.

From strategy through to identity and experience, every detail was designed to create something more than a sports venue: a destination rooted in performance, community and experience.

The final result is bold, immersive and genuinely distinctive. A brand that feels as dynamic and ambitious as the vision behind it.

A huge credit to everyone involved in bringing this vision to reality.

When Valiant was awarded B Corp certification we were incredibly proud, but we also knew that it wasn’t the end of the journey 💪

We set ourselves the challenge of improving our score every year and were excited to learn how we could do that from our fellow B Corp community.

So on World Earth Day, rather than talk about what we’ve already done, we thought we’d open up the conversation to 'what we could be doing'. Because a key part of being Valiant is that we're ‘always learning.’

What’s one new change our team can make this year to reduce our environmental impact?

We want to learn, we want to grow, we want to do better.

We’d like you to meet Navi👋

Navi is TaxNav’s friendly, furry “tax navigator”—created to bring warmth and clarity to an area many people find overwhelming. 💚

We’ve been working with TaxNav since last year to shape and launch their SaaS technology proposition, covering everything from naming and brand identity through to UI and UX. It’s been an exciting journey bringing the product to life.

With the government’s Making Tax Digital initiative coming into effect in April 2026, our latest challenge was to create a character to humanise the experience and remove the fear often associated with tax returns.

After exploring plenty of ideas (and more than a few furry contenders), Navi came out on top—and he’s here to prove that tax doesn’t have to be scary.

Navi—and the TaxNav platform—are proof that even complex, regulated services can feel simple, engaging, and even enjoyable.

They’re also a great example of how differentiation can be fun.

🏸 Warm weather tempted the team into the Valiant garden for a badminton brain break.
🍃 Howard and Joe spent a day volunteering with Community Matters Partnership at Reg’s Garden in Farnborough North.
🤖 Visit to Agency Hackers exploring how AI is quietly reshaping the way we work (no sci-fi drama, just real change happening now).
📸 A joyous site visit to Hurlands to see our brand design in all it’s glory. We can’t wait to share our full case study on this project.
💚 And last but not least, we’ve introduced a furry friend to Tax Nav. You’ll be hearing more about him very soon!
