At i-woman, we do networking differently.
Our events are intentionally small and intimate, creating a space where every woman feels truly seen, heard, and valued. This isn’t about collecting business cards — it’s about building real, meaningful connections.

💜 Our recent inspiring speakers:
💜 20th May 2026
🔥 Rowena Kerslake MBA FIoL – Executive Leader & Level 7 Coach
Helping women lead with confidence, embrace change, and step fully into their power — even in uncertain times.

📈 Sheryl Glanville – Practical Growth Coach
Simplifying business growth with powerful, practical strategies — proving success doesn’t have to be complicated.

💜 17th June 2026
💷 Becks Bawley DipPFS – Financial Adviser
“Money is Power” 💥
An eye-opening session on why every woman needs her own financial security — from pensions to investing, showing that financial independence brings freedom, confidence, and control.

🌿 Gemma Keys – Certified Life Coach
Inspiring women to turn challenges into stepping stones, build confidence, and create a life that truly fulfils them ✨
Because of our smaller groups, you’ll always have the opportunity to:
💬 Connect with every woman on a personal level

🤝 Build genuine, lasting relationships
🌱 Share your journey in a supportive, empowering environment
💡 Be part of real conversations that inspire growth and confidence

We believe strong networks are built through authentic connection — and that’s exactly what we create at i-woman 💫

If you’re ready for a networking experience that feels warm, personal, and genuinely impactful, we’d love to welcome you. 💜

💗Last week, I finally went for my breast screening… and if I’m honest, I was terrified.

Not because of the results — but because of the experience.

I remember my first screening so clearly: two cold metal plates, the pressure, the discomfort… it felt so painful. That memory stuck with me. So much so that this time, I rearranged my appointment not once, not twice, but three times 🙈
I kept putting it off for months.

But eventually, I knew I just had to do it.
And do you know what? It was completely different this time.
The machine they use now felt much gentler and kinder. The whole experience was quicker, more comfortable, and honestly… pain-free.

The NHS staff were absolutely brilliant too — reassuring, patient, and so understanding. They really do make such a difference.
I’m sharing this because I know I won’t be the only one who’s delayed an appointment out of fear of the discomfort.
If that’s you — please don’t put it off like I did.

Things have improved so much, and that few minutes of discomfort (if that!) could genuinely save your life.

Go. Get it done. 💗

💻 Career Pathways in Data Science

Every successful career starts with curiosity.

Inspired by the journey of Dr. Fei-Fei Li, this story highlights how women are breaking barriers and building successful careers in analytics, engineering, and AI leadership. Her journey is a reminder that there is no single path into tech — only the courage to begin.

✨ The future of data is diverse, inclusive, and driven by women who dare to lead.

🧠 Breaking Bias With Better Data

AI is shaping the future — but biased data can create biased outcomes.
Women across technology and data science are leading the movement for ethical AI, fair algorithms, and inclusive innovation. From challenging discrimination in digital systems to creating technology that represents everyone, women are reshaping the future of artificial intelligence.

✨ Because technology should empower everyone equally.

🌿 Mental Health Week 2026: You Are Not Alone 💚 Because - YOU matter!

This Mental Health Week, we’re holding space for the women who are carrying more than the world can see.

To the women juggling careers, families, expectations, and invisible pressures…
To those feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or simply “not okay”…
To the ones holding it together for everyone else while quietly falling apart…
We see you. And you matter.

Mental health challenges don’t always look obvious. Sometimes, they’re hidden behind smiles, productivity, or the words “I’m fine.” But behind the scenes, many women face:
Burnout from constant responsibility
Anxiety about the future or daily pressures
Emotional exhaustion from caring for others
Self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or feeling “not enough”
The silent weight of trying to meet impossible expectations

💬 Let this be your reminder:
You don’t have to do everything alone.
Rest is not weakness—it’s essential.
Asking for help is a strength, not a failure.
Your feelings are valid, even if others don’t see them.
You deserve the same compassion you give to everyone else.

🌸 If you’re struggling today: Take one small step—reach out to a friend, step outside for fresh air, pause and breathe, or simply allow yourself to rest without guilt.

🌼 To those supporting women around you: Listen without judgement. Check in. Offer kindness. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is, “I’m here.”

This week—and every week—let’s continue breaking the silence, supporting each other, and building spaces where women feel safe to speak, heal, and thrive.

You are not alone. You are worthy. And brighter days can come. 💛

Gen Z vs Millennial Women:
Same Rise, Different Rules

I’ve seen many changes during my career and across my lifetime.
I often find myself reflecting on my early working years — what was expected, what was tolerated, and what simply wasn’t questioned — and comparing that to the world of work we see now.

The contrast is striking.
It’s made me think about how much has genuinely changed, how much has been hard‑won, and how different generations of women have had to navigate very different realities — often with the same ambition, but not the same tools or choices.
Which brings me to this.

Millennial women were taught to survive the system.
Gen Z women are unapologetically questioning it.

Millennials came of age during recession, rigid career ladders, and the quiet expectation to be grateful just to be in the room. They learned to over‑deliver, stay loyal, and prove their value — often at the expense of rest, boundaries, and wellbeing.

Gen Z women watched that play out in real time.

They saw burnout normalised. They saw silence rewarded. They saw success that looked impressive on paper but felt unsustainable in real life.

So they’re moving differently.
Millennial women leaned in and pushed from the inside.
Gen Z women are walking out — and building alternatives.

One generation mastered resilience. The other is mastering refusal.
Not because they’re less ambitious — but because they’re clearer about the cost.
This isn’t a generational clash.It’s a progression.

Millennials cracked the door open.
Gen Z stepped through and asked why the room was designed that way to begin with.
And when Millennial experience meets Gen Z boldness?
That’s where real change accelerates.

So here’s the question — and I’m genuinely curious to hear perspectives from both generations:
Do you think Millennial women made it easier for Gen Z to move differently… or did Gen Z simply decide not to accept what Millennials were taught to endure?

It was a pleasure hosting another inspiring networking event today at David Lloyd Ipswich 💫

The energy in the room was incredible — filled with ambitious, supportive women sharing ideas, experiences, and meaningful connections.

At i-woman.co.uk, our events are not about numbers, ticket sales, or how many people are in the room. They’re about the uniqueness and contributions each woman brings, and the impact we create together.

We are passionate about providing a safe and supportive space where women feel comfortable sharing their journeys — whether personal, professional, or both — without judgement, pressure, or expectation. That openness and authenticity is what truly makes these events special.

A huge thank you to our wonderful speakers — Hermione Way, and Reid— for sharing your insight, honesty, and experiences. Your voices added so much value and sparked meaningful conversations.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed, and to the team at David Lloyd for being such a fantastic venue. I’m so proud of this growing community and excited for what’s to come. Looking forward to the next one!
