As you know we love to support local businesses, charities and share events that we can help to highlight on our page. As sharing is caring.

Today we are sharing the works of a gent called Simon Brown who stepped in to help us on the day of the Carnival.

In our charity we get an opportunity to meet amazing people and we are extra lucky when they join our events.

🦇 Oakley Park Bat Walk
📅 Saturday 19 September, 6.30pm
Join Friends of Oakley Park for a short talk and bat-detector walk around the park.
🌧️ Back-up date: 26 September.

🏃 Basingbourne Family Fun Run
📅 Saturday 26 September, 2pm
Choose a 1km, 2km or 3km circuit! It’s free to enter, with donations welcome. Volunteers are also needed, please let Friends of Basingbourne know if you can help at [email protected].

🦇 Basingbourne Bat Walk
📅 Wednesday 14 October, 6.45pm
Meet at the pavilion, bring a torch and wear sturdy shoes. Learn about local bats and owls and have a go with bat detectors.

🍁 Get outdoors, meet your community and enjoy the parks this autumn!

They always say that a picture speaks a thousand words and thanks to the https://www.facebook.com/AFCameraClub (Aldershot, Farnham & Fleet Camera Club) we get to see some amazing photos of Fleet from a different perspective.

If you are a knitter and looking to join a group or have some company while knitting up a storm then pop into our lovely town Library in Fleet.

We have shared the date of our next Fleet Carnival already but as a reminder, as you can never have too many:

It is now time for us to introduce you to a local charity that has reached out on many occassions asking for support and to be considered for our Charity of the Year slot and unfortunately just got pipped at the post previously, but not this year.

With the Carnival Committee votes in, we can now announce the name of our 'Charity of the Year 2027' : Jill's Fundraising Journey

We are really looking forward to working with Lyndsey and the team to help support and raise awareness of how Jill's Fundraising Journey can help families that are affected by Cancer.
