Our first official offsite, in the style of The New York Times Metropolitan Diary. We ate, we walked, we explored, we chatted, then did it all over again. Swipe for a recap.
We explored art: first, the MoMA The Museum of Modern Art , followed by the highly immersive aquatic sound installation Clinamen by French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot at the Park Avenue Armory. We found the three monumental pools and nearly 800 floating porcelain bowls that drift and chime a mesmerizing and quiet refuge from the busy city.
Our resident trainer .hilliker made sure that a few team members got their steps in leading 7KM runs before we went out and walked 10KM more.
We squeezed in some sightseeing for our first time visitors. Who knew that Lady Liberty had such great posture.
We had World Cup fever like everyone else and watched the US, England, and Canada win their respective games.
Not pizza, but tacos. Oliver and Simon ate a a combined 30+ tacos over the 3 days and wanted more.
We found ourselves in an episode of Seinfeld, walking against a sea of Knicks fans going to the victory parade to celebrate their championship.
We finally took some team photos, captured by Melody Melamed. Naturally, we had to put our spin on it and forced our fearless photographer to climb a 10 foot later and shoot us birds eye.
