Join us in welcoming our summer intern, Lydia Kim ✨

Lydia is a Korean-American multimedia designer based in Chinatown, NY. She recently graduated from Cornell University, where she studied Information Systems and Connective Media. Her work explores new ways to blend 2D and 3D spaces, often influenced by mementos of her childhood and emerging technologies. When she closes her laptop, you’ll find her at the park, enjoying an iced beverage and a good book.

Things inspiring us lately:

1: Jennifer Latour, an artist who makes organic sculptures by hand! (via aimee lee)
2: Korean animator Hyeonbin Kim (aflow). (via .hilliker)
3: The art of : so much depth, scale and visibly interesting from all angles. (via Adam Katz)
4: Old animated films we grew up watching, that we still return back to for inspiration. (via ✮ Katie Macey ✮)
5: ’s dreamlike style always feels fresh and interesting to look at. (via Simon Hayes)
6: Rediscovering Public Image Ltd: love how they pulled from a wide array of musical styles (punk, dub, and prog rock) and dissolved them into something completely their own. They were ambitious without being pretentious, letting their influences guide them instead of direct them. (via Matthew Heigl)
7: Vintage quilts with cool colors and compositions. (via Lydia Kim)
8: nina muro: love how the throughline in her work pulls inspo from nature. (via Anna)
9: Mythic Bastionland, a wild hex-crawling TTRPG from a new campaign. (via Aiden Symes)
10: Legend Soundtrack: Tim Curry as the devil, lush 80s synthesizers, Krautrock icons Tangerine Dream. This was the ultimate record bin discovery. (via Brian)
11: Loving red, especially paired with other bright colors. (via Nicole🧚)

Five years of Company Policy.

We didn’t have a plan when we started Company Policy.

That’s not false modesty, it’s just the truth. We started in the middle of a pandemic, which meant the typical uncertainty of starting something new was felt tenfold. We made it up as we went. And now five years later, as far as we can tell, that’s still the only honest way to operate.

Thanks to our talented team, incredible collaborators, and visionary and trusting clients. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Onto what's next.

It’s where we think out loud: about brand, about culture, about the decisions behind the work. A letter, not a newsletter. Roughly 600 words, twice a month.
