Nothing beats hearing positive feedback straight from the client. Quite simply - it's the hero content that builds trust and integrity.

A huge thank you to Martin Bruce of MB Fire and Security for giving us an overview of his experience working with Squinty Pixels. From an initial sit down chat over a coffee, we put a proposal together that worked around what would grow their business. Two simple options; what is essential and what is desirable.

From building their website, producing a promotional video and creating visual assets, to designing printed materials such as security signage and flyers, we created a full creative package.

More recently, they are on our monthly video content service where we keep their social media channels populated with professional reels of their current projects. All projects are filmed, edited and colour graded before being posted directly onto their channels. And Martin has to do is arrange times and confirm posts. It could not be any simpler.

We are all packed and heading back up the road after filming at the Excel today at the .technology.show at the Excel in London for

With two of our team onsite today, we started the day sharpish with some interviews that we delivered for the client to post on the day on their socials.

With a mixture of b-roll from human interaction, product displays and even the barman making fancy cocktails in glorious slow motion, we filmed every inch of their stand. This will then be edited and graded by us, in house in our Glasgow studio, and delivered back to the client as a fully polished event video. So keep your eyes peeled!

We also filmed further interviews and product overviews, with a mixture of dual cam setups and moving gimbal interviews.

All in all, a very productive day. Hauling the kit around the underground though - glad Jamie is a big lad!

Construction projects and our drones. A match made in heaven!

We have been filming this since it was barely concrete in the ground and it's been great watching the progress of this family home come together.

Construction sites aren't what many would think a videographers creative paradise to be, but we are a little different from the norm.

With power tools on the go, things being lifted, varying lighting levels and lasers galore - getting creative in these environments is exactly what we do best.

Some recently graded stills from a testimonial shoot for our client

With a large interior space with plenty of natural light, it made for some impressive shots that we colour graded to bring a cinematic look to both the testimonial, aerial footage and B-Roll.

In our eyes, colour grading is far more than firing LUTs on and hoping for the best. It's the technical science of balancing colours, exposure and shadows to bring a feel to our shots.

This is what you get when you work with a profession video company rather than a content company. Professionally crafted visuals.

Let's talk Reviews...

As someone who has spent the last few weeks fighting fake negative reviews on our clients platforms from some wee numpty from Bangladesh, who is trying to extort clients who refuse to buy their fake positive reviews...there is a lot to be admired of these channels.

There has been wives wooed, kidnaps, thefts, questionable toilet antics and many other wonderful creative stories, all in broken English, made it past Google and Facebook from bot profiles.

What makes matters worse is that many of our own genuine reviews, complete with detailed descriptions and images have been taken down as fake 🫠

Now I'm all for reviews. They show businesses are credible and help potential buyers understand and build trust with brands. But when businesses have their grannies knitting club leaving reviews for a business offering turbo boots (this is a bogus example btw) you know there's some foul play at action.

INSTEAD...

Video Testimonials!!

Get the message straight from the clients mouth. Talk about their pain points and what you done as a business to solve those problems. Or tell the world how good your product is. Whatever it is, video testimonials can actually visualise your product and works wonders with potential new customers eyeballing your testimonial pages.
