The Edge: engraving & awards

2020 was a tough year for most. To those in my sector who are still fighting, 2021 should see some recovery, thanks to the vaccine and impending roll out of home testing but it remains a very challenging time for the industry.

We (theEdge) survived the financial crisis of 2008 although deeply wounded, with a drop in revenue of over 60%. Covid 19 however was a challenge too far for the Company, which I’ve invested almost 35 years of my life in. I’ve never witnessed such a dramatic drop in business as I did last year.

It’s with a heavy heart I’ve had to call it a day. TheEdge ceased trading on 18th September 2020.

A slate memorial plaque we recently supplied. We love the natural beauty of slate. This Brathay slate plaque is quarried in the UK and engraved by us. It’s difficult to see from the photo but the Brathay has a fine golden thread running through it’s dense blue/black body of colour and no two plaques are the same. We recently supplied this brass pet plaque for a customer. The plaque is engraved using the comic sans font and the customer wanted a cat logo also. We use only the best quality engraving brass for all our plaques.... Please contact us for more info.
