A few days after a good event is when the real work starts.

The room might have been full of good conversations, new introductions and ‘we should definitely catch up’ moments. But if nothing happens next, most of that value disappears 📉

It’s a pattern our Geeks often spot when working with clients. Interest shows up, a conversation goes well, there’s a bit of momentum… and then it stalls.

That’s usually where the gap is. The interest is there, but the next step isn’t always clear or properly owned.

Good follow-up isn’t just ‘nice to meet you’ and a connection request. It’s knowing:

→ who is worth following up with
→ what was actually discussed
→ what the next useful step should be
→ how to stay relevant without becoming annoying

That’s where a lot of opportunity is won or lost.

So if you were at the Scottish Growth Expo, this is your nudge: go back through your notes, send the message, make the intro, book the coffee.

The best conversations are only valuable if you do something with them.
