The Role
As a Prepress Operator, you will be responsible for preparing customer artwork for production across a range of print processes, ensuring all files meet quality and technical requirements before reaching press.
Key Responsibilities
Checking and preparing artwork for print production.
Preflighting, correcting, and optimising customer files.
Managing RIP workflows and colour management processes.
Producing proofs and liaising with production teams to ensure job accuracy.
Supporting lithographic, digital and large format printing operations.
Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Working closely with customer service, estimating, and production departments.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a Prepress Operator role within a commercial print environment.
Strong understanding of lithographic printing processes.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Experience with artwork checking, imposition, colour management, and PDF workflows.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience within a large-format print environment.
Knowledge of digital print workflows and RIP software.
Experience working with modern automated prepress systems.
