⛳ Another week, another step closer to 250!

Last week marked the next chapter in Jon's FORE Business FTSE250 Challenge.

The mission? 🤝 To connect, meet or play golf with 250 fellow FORE Business members and ensure Pure Pipeline is the first name businesses think of when they need support with telemarketing or lead generation.

📍 The week began with the FORE Business Darlington group at the stunning Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, before heading to FORE Business Manchester South at the equally impressive Champneys Mottram Hall.

Both venues delivered incredible courses and unforgettable experiences. At Rockliffe Hall, there was even the chance to spot several Middlesbrough FC players, with the club's training facilities on site and a number of players watching from the clubhouse as everyone finished on the 18th green. ⚽

Despite seven weeks without rain, Mottram Hall was in tip top condition, with the greens absolutely immaculate. 🌤️

The biggest win, though? Plenty of fantastic conversations, lots of new connections, and several 1:1 meetings already in the diary. The challenge now stands at 132 connections, officially over halfway there! 🎉

A huge thank you to Gary Millington (TaxPrime Accounting), Chris Wilson (Speak and Serve) and Rob Trollope (MNAEA, MARLA) for the round at Mottram Hall, along with Brook Watson, Chris Williams and Mark Blacklee at Darlington! 🏌🏼⛳

The challenge has been incredibly rewarding, but it's certainly not without its hurdles. 🚗

Covering thousands of miles every week is exhausting, but with just two months to go, Jon is determined to smash the 250 connection target. 💪

A special thank you also goes to James Fletcher and Harry Rowbotham for looking after Jon at each event. 🙌

Three fantastic days at the FORE Business Scottish Open! ⛳☀️

Last week, our Managing Director, Jon, took part in three brilliant days of golf and networking across Cawder Golf Club, Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club and the stunning Craigielaw Golf Club.

On the parkland courses, Jon's golf was in good form, with Dalmahoy being the standout round. Six pars in one day! 👏

Craigielaw provided a completely different challenge. Beautiful sunshine from start to finish, but the coastal wind had other ideas! 🌬️😂

There were plenty of laughs along the way too, from discovering his "new favourite" golf shirt was actually an England shirt (now officially retired! 🤣), to watching playing partner Jonnie Purdie sacrifice what felt like an endless supply of TaylorMade golf balls to the Scottish rough.

Away from the golf, the event was another huge success for business. Jon made 33 new business connections, with four follow-up meetings already arranged, taking his FTSE 250 Challenge to 93 meaningful new connections so far.

A huge thank you to Sean Fergusson and Arron Busst for organising another fantastic event, and to Stephen McKay for sponsoring all three days and providing an incredible goody bag.

A day at Leeds "FORE" Business at Garforth Golf Club that Jon won't be forgetting anytime soon. ⛳🏆

Not only did he enjoy a fantastic day of golf, great company and some brilliant conversations, but he also picked up his very first golf award.

Safe to say the game is improving!

A huge thank you to Craig Hustwit and the team for being such welcoming hosts and for putting together a fantastic event on a superb course.

It was also great to meet so many business leaders throughout the day including Henry Wilson, Steve Gordon, David Kennedy, Thomas Bond ACA, Mark Rasche and Charles Taylor.

Jon was joined on the course by playing partners Dr Faisal S. Shaikh FRCPsych, Oliver Jackson and Nick Cohen, with the day's honours seeing Jon and Craig taking the Closest to the Pin prizes, while Nick walked away with the overall leaderboard victory and the coveted Red Shirt. 👕⛳

The event also marked another milestone in Jon's FTSE 250: From Tee to Strategic Encounters Challenge, bringing the total to 60 new business owner and leadership connections so far!

A big thank you again to everyone involved. There are plenty of follow-up conversations to come and one thing is certain, he'll definitely be back for another Leeds event. 📍

And finally, a special mention for the bacon rolls, which are currently sitting strong at number one on Jon's golfing breakfast leaderboard. 🥓🥇

You may have noticed our Director Jon spending a bit more time on the golf course recently 🏌️

What started as a hobby has quickly become a valuable way to grow the business through networking and relationship building.

After joining FORE Business in Glasgow, Jon has connected with business owners and leaders across the UK, helping expand Pure Pipeline’s network beyond Scotland and opening the door to exciting new opportunities.

That’s also inspired his latest challenge:

The goal? Travel across the UK attending FORE Business events, meeting new people, building relationships, and adding 250 new LinkedIn connections along the way.

The golf didn’t quite go to plan at this months "FORE"​ Business meet up thanks to some classic Scottish weather… torrential rain meant we made it to the 2nd hole before heading back in! ☔️⛳️

That said, it was still a great day at Cawdor Golf Club and a real highlight getting to play alongside Olympian Kyle Waddell.

Fresh back from representing Team GB and bringing home silverware, it was brilliant to meet him and even have the chance to hold an Olympic medal, which was pretty special.

Looking forward to next month’s meeting… hopefully with the start of some summer weather! 🌤️
