In 2017, for one of our past clients we imagined an outdoor billboard that only tells its full story when it rains.

In dry weather, it’s a heroic, panoramic view of The Wallace Monument standing solid against a clear Scottish sky.

But when the rain hits, the real journey begins. The top layer becomes transparent, revealing the historic interior within the tower—from the Hall of Heroes and the Wallace Sword to the spiral staircases and interactive exhibits.

Because sometimes, you need a little Scottish weather to uncover the real history. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Please note: This is the mock-up image we created for the client pitch, not a photo of the complete outdoor billboard visual. But we think it’s a fun example of using the environment (Scottish weather!) to tell a deeper story.

2019 was the time we helped a 150-year-old national monument welcome the world to its doors

When The National Wallace Monument in Stirling needed to celebrate their 150th anniversary, they didn't just need a leaflet. They needed to tell a story that would manage visitor expectations and drive footfall.

Working closely with the hugely enthusiastic and knowledgeable Marketing Manager at the time – Ken Thomson – we set out to create something that would serve the thousands of visitors climbing the Abbey Craig to the Tower.

Here is why investing in professional leaflet design matters—and how we made a difference:

1. Information flows better.
We took complex details—like the names of the chambers (The Hall of Arms, The Royal Chamber), the 246-step climb, and the seasonal bus times—and organised them into a clean, intuitive layout. Instead of overwhelming the reader, the design guides the eye to what matters most: planning the trip.
2. Clarity builds trust before arrival.

A visit to a historic attraction comes with questions. "Is it accessible?" "Where do I park?" "How do I get there from the train station?"
We highlighted the accessibility info, the free shuttle bus, and the seasonal Bus Service 1314 prominently. By setting clear expectations, the leaflet respects the reader's time and builds goodwill before they even set foot on the monument.

3. Good design drives real action.
This leaflet was designed to convert curiosity into a day out. By making the "how to get there" section inviting and the seasonal opening times (July–August 9.30am–6pm, etc.) easy to find, we help turn online interest into on-site visits.

Whether you are a national landmark managing thousands of visitors or a local business launching a new product, great design tells your story and gets results.

👉 Do you need a leaflet or brochure designed and printed that works as hard as you do? Let's talk.

Happy New Year from the graphic design team at G3 Creative
— and what a brilliant end to 2025.

Here’s something many businesses don’t realise:
Your brand is being judged before the first conversation.

On screen, most brands look confident.
But in print?
That’s often where credibility quietly falls apart.

Inconsistent layouts.
Rushed design.
Materials that don’t reflect the quality of the organisation behind them.

At G3 Creative, we’re a leading Glasgow-based graphic design studio specialising in branding and design for print. We help organisations present themselves clearly and professionally across brochures, reports, packaging and printed communications — the places where decisions are influenced and trust is built.

Not trend-led.
Not overworked.
Just considered, well-crafted print design that helps organisations look as established as the work they do.

If your printed materials don’t match the standard of your business, let’s have a conversation.

Your Digital Ads Are Invisible. Here’s the “Old-School” Tactic Google & TikTok Use to Be Remembered.
We live in a digital world.
Every day, your customers are bombarded with thousands of emails, social posts, and pop-up ads — and most vanish with a swipe.
So why are the world’s biggest digital-first companies — Google and TikTok included — investing millions every year in something many consider old-fashioned?
They’re investing in print.
It sounds counterintuitive, but it’s pure marketing psychology in action.
Google uses direct mail postcards to promote its digital tools. TikTok launched its B2B campaign with tube posters and printed flyers.
They’ve rediscovered what many businesses have forgotten:
Digital builds reach. Print builds trust.
________________________________________
The Trust Gap in a Digital-Only World
When everything lives on a screen, it becomes disposable.
A digital ad disappears the moment it’s closed. But a beautifully crafted, tangible piece — a brochure, a welcome pack, a presentation folder — lingers.
It has weight.
It has texture.
It engages the senses in a way a screen never can.
This isn’t about digital versus print — it’s about using the right medium for the right moment.
Digital spreads the word.
But when you want to:
Close a high-value deal
Welcome a new corporate client
Make your community feel genuinely valued
Build loyalty that lasts
…you need to make an impression that sticks.
That’s where print wins.

Beyond the Paper: Print as a Brand Experience
At G3 Creative, we don’t see print as “ink on paper.”
We see it as the physical embodiment of your brand.
Think about it:
The weight and texture of your paper speak volumes about your attention to detail.
The precision of a die-cut or the subtlety of a spot varnish signal craftsmanship and care.
Choosing 100% recycled paper and eco-friendly inks isn’t just sustainable — it’s a tangible expression of your brand values.
In a digital-saturated world, print isn’t old-fashioned — it’s refreshingly real.

The G3 Creative Process: Where Strategy Meets Tangible Impact
From Glasgow Airport to independent local businesses, we help brands turn strategy into substance through print.
1. Brand Clarity (The Why)
We start by refining your brand foundations — ensuring your visual identity truly reflects your promise.
Your brand is a promise. Your print is the proof.
2. Strategic Print Design (The How)
We design materials that don’t just look like your brand — they feel like it.
Luxury brand? Think heavy, textured stock and metallic foiling.
Modern and disruptive? Think bold layouts and unexpected folds.
3. Sustainable Craftsmanship (The What)
We produce responsibly, partnering with FSC-certified printers and using eco-friendly inks — because brands that care for the future earn trust today.

Is Your Brand Ready to Make a Tangible Impact?
In 2025, the most forward-thinking companies are rediscovering something timeless:
People are physical beings in a physical world. They connect with what they can touch, hold, and keep.
If your marketing feels disposable — maybe it’s time to make it tangible.
💬 Let’s talk about how G3 Creative can bring your brand to life through print.

A design project that helped make history — and still inspires us today.

While revisiting our archives, I found this 20-page booklet we created in December 2016 for the National Wallace Monument’s “Scotland’s Heroines” campaign — a powerful reminder that meaningful design can leave a lasting mark.

G3 Creative was commissioned to design a booklet featuring a tear-off voting form, DL leaflet, and exhibition banners, all supporting a public vote for the first female busts to be added to the Hall of Heroes, alongside famous Scots like Robert Burns and King Robert the Bruce.

Our illustrations celebrated a shortlist of pioneering women — from engineer Dorothée Pullinger to doctor Elsie Inglis — each of whom helped shape Scotland’s story.

The public vote made history. The winners were Mary Slessor, a missionary who transformed lives in Nigeria, and Maggie Keswick Jencks, whose vision for cancer care inspired the global network of Maggie’s Centres. Both women showed extraordinary selflessness and commitment to social improvement, gaining worldwide recognition through their efforts.

Their busts — sculpted by Csilla Karsay (Mary Slessor) and Graciela Ainsworth (Maggie Keswick Jencks) — were permanently installed in 2019. Our team at G3 Creative is proud that our creative work helped share their stories.

Nearly a decade later, this project still reminds us that good design doesn’t just promote — it can shape culture, influence change, and help make history more inclusive.
