Last night we visited monte sol, the home of the steak on the stone. Firstly they bring you a bib to save any grease splashes on your clothing and a protective mat for the table. listen to that sizzle. the steak arrives sizzling on a stone with a selection of dips chips and vegetables. We had apple pie and ice cream to finish, wow.

Tonight we thought we would try some traditional Portuguese cuisine. We booked Splendido which is a family run restaurant, it is slightly further out from the main strip but definitely worth the visit. The staff were so lovely and the food incredible.

Followed by a Portugese steak. I usually try some traditional local cuisine at each country i visit and this did not disappoint.

Our first meal of the trip we spoiled ourselves at Rare a delicious steak restaurant in Villamura.

We ordered chateaubriand with mac and cheese and onion rings, it was absolutely delicious.
