Just a quick thank you to everyone at the Glasgow networking group this week at The Alchemist.

The energy in the room was spot on, open, supportive and genuinely collaborative. It’s not always easy to create a space where people feel comfortable sharing openly, but this community does it brilliantly.

From the one-to-ones to the table discussions, it’s clear there’s a real drive in this group to help each other grow — not just in business, but as people.

Assumption...

It’s funny how often assumptions shape decisions without us even realising.
Two work pals said something to me recently that stuck.
They’d always assumed we don’t take on small jobs.
In reality we love small projects. The quick-turnaround bits. The “can you just help with this?” jobs. The ones that slot neatly between bigger campaigns.
They’re fun, fast, creative, and often lead to great relationships. Plus, they get our name out there in ways you can’t always plan for.
But if they hadn’t mentioned it, I’d never have known that assumption existed and we might have missed out on working together.

It made me think how often we all do this:
We assume someone’s too busy, too expensive, not interested, not the right fit.
And we don’t even ask.
A simple conversation can open doors you didn’t realise were closed.
So here’s a wee reminder...
If you’ve got a small project sitting on the “probably not worth asking” pile, ask anyway. You might be surprised.

And if you assumed I was a pis$ed in this pic, you'd be absolutely right 😆
