I’ve been appointed for a second year as a judge for the Awards 2026!

The awards celebrate some of the most thoughtful packaging design work from around the world, so it’s always a pleasure to be involved. I was on the jury for the ‘Limited Edition’ category last year, and this time I’ll be reviewing the ‘Design for Good’ category. You can still enter up until 28th Feb.

Having experienced it from a few angles, including submitting work myself (and being fortunate enough to win a couple of awards back in 2024 🏆 ) it feels good to now help spotlight work that’s doing something meaningful beyond just looking nice.

Excited to dive into this years entries and connect with the other international jurors.

I’ve been a long-time fan of Creative Boom and an avid podcast listener, so being asked to come on as a guest was a proper “wait… really?” moment. Full bucket-list behaviour.

was an absolute joy to chat with. Having known her for what feels like forever as an online pal, she instantly put me at ease — which led to some unexpectedly vulnerable moments. We talked about everything from my creative journey and running a studio, to surviving a knife attack, losing my dad, work ethic, and all the messy, human bits in between. I even made her cry. Sorry, Katy.

This year I’ve gone all in on putting the Chris in Christmas — and, I’ve put the AI back in ST(I)CKM(A)N too, with an AI-assisted version of me as Kris Kringle. Same face, bigger beard, a festive rebrand of sorts.(temporarily)

Before I properly log off for mince pies and a white russian or three, I wanted to say cheers to my clients, peers and those who’ve supported Stckmn this year! Wishing you a cracker of a festive break and all the best for 2026.

Each episode features quick 1–2 minute clips from creatives around the world, all weighing in on a specific packaging theme. This episode focussed on common packaging mistakes and pet peeves.

🎧🎙️PODCAST : Things got heavy on my recent chat with .malinic on the Mindful Creative Podcast. This one was less about projects and the work and I more about me opening up about my personal experiences of running a studio.

I’m a huge fan of the series as it aims to help people to understand the highs and lows of creative careers through interviews with those in the industry, so I was grateful to be invited on to share my story in a no-holds-barred style sit down.

We discussed me being attacked with a knife as a university student, how work became a crutch and distraction for dealing with traumatic experiences and how that ultimately led to burnout and ending up in hospital. It’s not all doom and gloom (honest) as we also discussed personal growth, rewards of running your own business and the advantages of therapy.

CASE STUDY : The Only Drop [8 of 8] ‘The Auction’:

The  auction gives whisky creators the opportunity to come together as an industry to celebrate their craft and donate a one-of-a-kind whisky to raise vital funds to help disadvantaged young people in Scotland. 

The Only Drop was put under the hammer by  after a flurry of bids saw the price quickly rise, fetching 3 times the lower estimate at £18,750.

A record-breaking £2.25 Million was raised at the auction, with all proceeds aiding disadvantaged youth across Scotland via Youth Action Fund.

I was incredibly honoured to be a part of the initiative and to apply my design skillset in a way that could make a positive change in young people’s lives. Growing up in a working-class town and seeing first-hand how a lack of support can harm families and their communities, it was encouraging to know the money raised would help fund opportunities for those who need it most.

Rebecca Hamilton of SMWS had this to say “Chris is a wonderful partner who encompasses the skills of a full service agency, which is astounding given he is a one-man studio. He is a strategically focused individual who delivers stand out design, all underpinned by strong project management and production skills. A true needle in a haystack. He delivers work that creates real talkability and praise”
