A big thank you to Thomas, who joined Brace Creative for work experience this summer!

He threw himself into every task, picked up new design skills fast, and brought a brilliant attitude throughout.

What stood out most was that he asked great questions, took feedback brilliantly, adapted on the fly when requirements changed, and wasn't afraid to experiment.

That's the kind of attitude that gets you far in this industry. Technical skills can be taught, but curiosity and initiative like his are the real differentiators.

Wishing you all the best for whatever's next, Thomas, you'll do great things.

Jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft, nearly 3 miles up, with 60 seconds of freefall. It's fair to say our Josh Richards is more nervous than excited about this one, especially given he's genuinely scared of heights.

But the reason he's doing it is what matters here. Josh is taking on the highest skydive in the UK for Sunflowers Su***de Support, Brace's Charity of the Year.

Sunflowers is a Gloucestershire charity supporting children, young people and adults who've lost someone to su***de, offering proper, trauma-informed help to families facing one of the hardest experiences imaginable.

The work they do changes lives, and we're proud to support them.

The jump takes place on 5th September, and we're hoping to raise £3,000 across the skydive and the other fundraising activities the Brace team have taken on this year.

If you're able to donate, whatever you can give will be genuinely appreciated.

Plus, a like or a share helps to raise awareness even more.

🎯 We swapped the office for oche!

The Brace team headed to Flight Club Cheltenham for an evening of (very competitive) darts, questionable throwing technique, and zero ad campaigns.

Huge congrats to Will, our newly crowned Flight Club champion 🏆 Turns out he's as sharp with a dart as he is with a brief.

Here's the thing though. This wasn't just an excuse for a night out (although, yes, also that). Team building isn't a nice-to-have, it's part of how we do good work and introduce new members of staff (everyone say hello to Mel!) The best campaigns come from teams who actually know and trust each other, excelled by their strong skillset and knowledge.

So here's to more socials, more scoreboards, and more reminders that a team that winds down together, delivers together.

Welcome to the team our new Account Manager, Mel! 🎉

Mel's background is exactly the kind of varied, client-first experience we love to see. Most recently she was managing marketing and campaigns at the University of Gloucestershire, and before that ran her own consultancy, Big Ideas Consultancy, helping businesses nail their strategy, branding and campaign delivery. She's also worked in executive search, advising founders and investors on senior marketing hires, so she knows what great marketing leadership looks like from every angle.

Rewind further and you'll find five years as Marketing Campaigns & Project Manager at RE Recruitment in Cheltenham, leading multi-channel campaigns across five brands and running corporate events. Prince2 certified, naturally organised, and no stranger to juggling a lot of moving parts at once.

Outside of work, Mel volunteers as an education mentor, supporting GCSE students with careers guidance, proof that investing in people isn't just what she does 9-5.

Mel will be working on account management with our clients, so you may well hear from her soon.

🏆 We've been shortlisted!

We're thrilled to share that Brace Creative has made the shortlist for Family Business and Small Business of the Year at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2026.

This year's awards attracted almost 300 entries across the county, the strongest field in the awards' six-year history, so we're genuinely proud to be flying the flag on this shortlist.

On the announcement, Director of Brace Creative, Mitch Bracey, said: "We are absolutely chuffed to bits to be shortlisted for both awards. All the credit goes to our incredible team. Their talent, commitment and personalities are what make Brace what it is, and the fact that our clients stay with us far longer than the industry average is a testament to that. Well done!

Huge thanks to everyone in the Gloucestershire business community who's been part of the journey so far. Finalists are announced in October, with the big reveal at Cheltenham Town Hall in November, watch this space.

Done and dusted! Team Brace crossed the finish line at the Gloucester 10K on Sunday and thankfully the weather cooled down! 🏃

Zonnie, Josh and Rhys took on the course (Cathedral, Docks, Quays and canal towpath included) alongside nearly 1,000 other runners, all in support of our charity of the year, Sunflowers Su***de Support

The shirts looked brilliant, the legs are sore, morale was high, and the trio did Brace proud.

Donations are still open, and every contribution helps Sunflowers continue their vital work supporting people bereaved or affected by su***de.

Today marks Armed Forces Day, the day the UK says thank you to serving troops, reservists, veterans, cadets, and the families who stand behind them.

This military community is certainly close to the team at Brace. Some of our team are partners of those who serve. Some grew up in Forces families. Some have served themselves. We know what that connection costs and what it gives. The pride, the distance, the homecomings, and the dedication.

It's also why we've signed the Armed Forces Covenant. It's a formal pledge to recognise the value that serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring. A commitment we hold ourselves to as an employer and as part of this community.

So today's a thank you. To everyone currently serving. To everyone who has. And to everyone holding things together at home while they do.
