Yesterday I exhibited at TThe Royal Forest of Dean Wedding Showat TThe Speech House Hoteland had a brilliant day talking to lovely couples at the start of their wedding journey.
Here’s the thing about knowing your colours. Yes, it helps with your wedding planning — knowing which shade of white works for you, building a colour theme that feels cohesive, choosing bridesmaids’ dresses that actually flatter everyone. All of that.
But more than anything it gives you clarity. Less overwhelm. The ability to see the bigger picture more clearly — and that makes every decision that follows so much easier.
It’s also a life skill. Something you carry with you long after the confetti has settled. Every shopping trip, every occasion, every time you get dressed and want to feel like the best version of yourself.
The earlier you do it in your wedding journey, the better. Colour can influence everything from your dress to your flowers to your whole day’s aesthetic.
What surprised me most? How many men were genuinely interested and wanted to get this right — not just for the wedding day, but beyond it. Couples asking about bespoke his and hers consultations, doing it together as part of the planning process. Such a lovely idea.
If you’re planning a wedding and curious about what colour could do for you — I’d love to chat.
