More than just a sign ✨️

After 25 years in the business, we've come to realise that sometimes graphics can do more than help people find their way.

For instance, we recently donated two colourful wayfinders to Merstham Park School, celebrating the five values at the heart of their school community:

Inclusion • Collaboration • Resilience • Respect • Success

Positioned at the school entrance and in the library, they’ve quickly become part of everyday school life and are colourful reminders of the values the school and its pupils share.

We truly love being able to use what we do here at Insite to support our local community, and it means a lot to our team to have such great feedback. I guess sometimes, making a difference can be as simple as looking at the skills and resources you already have and asking, where could we help?

A huge thank you to Mrs Lucy Strachan and everyone at Merstham Park School for letting us work with them on such a lovely project, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

And perhaps those wayfinders really are living up to their name after all. Because they may not tell Merstham Park’s students which corridor to take, but they do offer a little reminder of the values that can help them find their way in the world.

Often, it starts with making better decisions at the very beginning of a project.

Back we go again into the Insite archive to 2019-2020 📸

Munich, Morocco, FESPA, InPrint, ILTM, IGTM… big events, big graphics and an Insite team travelling wherever the next installation took us.

Then came 2020 and everything changed.

Covid brought the events industry to a standstill and presented Insite with one of the biggest challenges in its history.

But it also became a turning point.

When the world opened up again, a new chapter for Insite began, one with sustainability, responsibility and continual improvement firmly at its heart.

Six years later, that journey has taken us to B Corp certification, ISO 14001, ESSA Tier 5 Sustainability, ESSA Health & Safety and SafeContractor Gold Sustainability, alongside carbon neutral operations and zero waste to landfill.

Looking back at these photographs, they capture more than another year in the Insite story.

They capture the end of one chapter just before an exciting new one began.

And thankfully, some things never change: great people, great teamwork and the occasional bit of silliness.... 🦍😂❤️

Where were you in 2018?

Yup, we've been back in the Insite photo archives again and found yet more conferences, installs, international trips, awards, team nights out, a barbecue...and a chance meeting with the delectable Mr ❤️

But what we really noticed was the people again. The teams behind the scenes who print, produce, install, organise, solve last-minute problems and somehow get everything ready before the doors open.

So this week we're handing the archive over to you.

We’re often asked: what exactly does Insite Graphics do?

The simple answer? We help turn venues into events. From conference booths and complete venue branding to sustainable signage, sponsorship graphics and large-format print, our in-house teams take care of the whole process.

We produce it. We build it. We install it. We derig it. We recycle it.

So, over the next few weeks, we thought it might be a nice idea to take you 'Inside Insite' with a new series showing you what we do, how we do it and some of the work that goes on behind the scenes to bring great events to life.

We’ll be looking at venue branding, conference booths, sponsorship graphics, installation, sustainable signage and fabric graphics, with plenty of real Insite projects along the way. And after 25 years in the events industry, we’ve got quite a lot to show you!

FROM THE INSITE ARCHIVE: 2017 📸

Nine years ago. Sixteen years into the Insite story and judging by the photographs, 2017 was quite a year!

FESPA. InPrint. ILTM. Exhibitions and conferences. Trips across the UK and Europe. Huge graphics. Branded walls. Backdrops. Floor graphics. And plenty of installation work.

And then there were the bits between the jobs... team nights out. Giant chips. And someone taking a well-earned break inside a packing crate. 😂

Looking back at these pictures during our 25th anniversary year, what strikes us most isn't how much has changed.

It's how much hasn't.

Behind every beautifully finished event are people producing, travelling, building, installing and solving problems before the doors open.

The technology has moved on. Materials have evolved. Our approach to sustainability has developed enormously.

But good people, practical experience and getting the job done properly? That never goes out of date.

Here's to the Insite team of 2017 and all the people who've been part of the journey since.

25 YEARS OF INSITE | 2016 🌍

By 2016, Insite was most definitely going places… Berlin, Milan, Glasgow, Barcelona and, judging by the photographic evidence, occasionally into the recycling. 😂

Yes, another year in the Insite archive and another reminder that behind every exhibition, conference and live event are the people who make it happen.

2016 saw the team still out on the road, producing and installing graphics for major events across the UK and Europe from Xbiz in Berlin and InPrint in Milan to ITS in Glasgow and SCM World Live Europe in Barcelona.

There were early starts, late finishes, airports, hotel rooms, enormous graphics, unfamiliar venues and the inevitable last-minute challenges that come with live events.

But, as per, there was also plenty of laughter, team dinners, questionable selfies and that very particular camaraderie that comes from working together to get the job done, wherever in the world that job happens to be.

And apparently, when things got really tiring, the recycling made a surprisingly comfortable place for a quick lie-down. ♻️😂

As ever, looking back through these photographs, it’s the people as much as the projects that tell the story of Insite’s 25 years.

Great work. Great adventures. Great people.

Here’s to 2016, another year in the Insite story. ❤️

🎞️ FROM THE INSITE ARCHIVES: 2015

2015. Princess Charlotte arrived on the scene, Britain went to the polls, the Rugby World Cup came to town and Star Wars returned to the big screen.

Meanwhile, over at Insite… things were looking rather busy too. 😄

Yes, in our 25 Years of Insite series, we’ve now reached 2015. Another year of exhibitions, events, graphics and adventures took the team from AIX and ILTM to FESPA, InPrint, the European Athletics Golden Tracks and Goodwood.

There were exhibition halls, international trips, impressive stands, team dinners and a fair amount of hard graft along the way. Although, judging by the photographic evidence, there was also the occasional need for a lie-down in the packaging… and one or two moments that perhaps weren't intended for the company archive. 😂

These old photos are such a brilliant reminder that behind every finished job are the people who make it happen. That's what the events industry is all about isn't it, working together, travelling together and thankfully having plenty of laughs along the way. Twenty-five years on, that bit hasn’t changed. ❤️

🎞️ INSITE ARCHIVES: 2014

Pharrell had us all "Happy", everyone was doing the Ice Bucket Challenge, The Lego Movie told us Everything Was Awesome… and apparently the Insite team had introduced a strict NO SWEARING policy. 👀😂

We're back in the archives as part of our '25 Years of Insite' celebrations, and this time we've landed in 2014.

Another year of planes, trains, exhibition halls, print, graphics, installations and plenty of miles on the road for the Insite team, again taking us from AIX and ILTM to IGTM, InPrint and FESPA in Munich.

But as ever, it's the moments behind the finished graphics that we love rediscovering.

The team on site, printers running, journeys between venues, the occasional moment to put your feet up and all those random photographs that somehow become part of a company's history. 📸

Big events. Big graphics. Lots of travelling. And plenty of fun along the way.

As we celebrate 25 years, these photographs are a lovely reminder that the Insite story has always been about more than print and graphics.

It's about the people who make it happen. ❤️

🎞️ INSITE ARCHIVES: 2013

Daft Punk wanted us to Get Lucky, “selfie” was the word of the year… and the Insite team were clocking up the miles at events across the UK and Europe. 💪💪💪

Yes, we've been back in the archives and found these brilliant snapshots from 2013 featuring AIX, ILTM, EAGC, FESPA, The Global Party at The Savoy and plenty of Insite life behind the scenes.

Big events. Big graphics. Lots of travelling. Food on the go. An alarming number of pallet trucks. 😂

And apparently… skiing??? ⛷️

As we celebrate 25 years of Insite Graphics, we're loving rediscovering not just the projects, but the people and moments that made them happen.
