This week, we kicked off our accountability calls!

These calls serve as practical follow-ups to each Growth Programme session, where we discussed how to put Blair’s advice into action. We covered quick wins, challenges, and worked together to solve any issues, while also setting goals for the next session and defining what success looks like.

Divided into three groups based on turnover size, we had some incredibly valuable conversations. Founders shared advice, collaborated to solve problems, and exchanged experiences.

And yes, we documented all the accountability actions, ensuring everyone stays on track!

Last week, we launched our first instalment of the Growth Programme, with Blair Enns kicking off the first session: The Principles of Selling Expertise.

A key theme that resonated was the contrast between Expert vs Salesperson. Here are a few highlights:

⭐️ We often navigate two roles: the expert and the salesperson. Understanding these roles is crucial for success.

⭐️ As the expert, you provide valuable insights, guide clients, and are recognised for your knowledge and expertise.

⭐️ The salesperson role can feel forced and needy, often leading to over-enthusiasm and working for free just to secure business.

⭐️ As an expert you'll lead the conversation, you ask thoughtful questions and provide value; as a salesperson, you're constantly pitching.

⭐️ Embrace the Expert: Stop viewing yourself as a vendor. By positioning yourself as the trusted adviser from the beginning, clients will recognise your value without the need for hard-selling.

⭐️ The Four Conversations: Sales is a series of four distinct conversations, each designed to achieve specific goals.
⭐️ Mindset: Approach sales with the mindset of an expert, not a vendor.
⭐️ Selling is leadership, so be direct and speak your thoughts.
⭐️ Conversations are not presentations, and your job is to take the lead by addressing objections early.
